so after going thru some of the "atma drops sucks" threads and seeing some people use the "there is other ways to get gear" logic, it has come to my attention that the people are ignoring one major thing. the only 2.2 weapon(s)you can get are the new allagan wep if you are good enough, and the levi weapon. it will be a full month before any even sees people having a weathered weapon, because those are behind a double lockout (tome cap and coil drop). so no, there really isnt much choice in what weapons you can get.

You arent entitled to a new weapon just for logging in. If it takes you a month to get a new weapon, then you will have a new weapon in a month.

They also don't seem to be aware that it will take 3 weeks before anyone has the soldiery to even buy a weathered weapon. So our options are Levi weapon, Tidal Levi weapon, Twintania weapon (cause we know many people never got one and its still decent), and Zodiac. The only true upgrade on that list is the Tidal Levi weapon so unless you are working directly for that the Zodiac weapon is really one of the only short term solutions.

Some people got them in day 1, thats a huge bs factor for me.
Others have to work for it while the lucky guys just get it on a silver tablet.
Thats just wrong imo, the second part of the quest is fair while the first is not.
How is it a fair system when some get the weapon in under 10 hours while others don't get a single atma after 2 days of grinding?
Long term is fine and even preferred imo but luck is not welcome.

So, to sum up. It will takes weeks of challenges, effort and grind to get either the relic 2.0, the Leviathan weapon, or the new allagan weapon. And what was the big thing that was overlooked?

You've just listed two.
And from what I've researched, progression goes:
Wave/Allagan>Atma/Wheathered/Tidal>Crafted/High Allagan.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you go Levi>HM Levi>High Allagan instead?

Luck of the draw ive spammed t4 20xs this weekend and t2 15-20xs still havent got/seen caster drops just luck of the draw. If you want it bad enough you'll keep at it.

watch out for the RNG is bs argument. I agree with you though, the game offers you enough options, yet if you want something bad enough, deal with the systems in place to get it.
