I have to wonder if we even have the same definition of "Zerg," much less of "raid;" because by the definition of "Zerg" that I'm working with, I've zerged more NMs in XIV than I ever zerged anything in WoW, which is especially sad when you consider how long I played WoW versus how long I've played XIV.
At any rate, it's rather sad that the word "raid" fills you with such negative emotions. Even sadder is the fact that, as I pointed out before, "raid" isn't even a term used all that often by WoW players when talking to each other. I guarantee you that, had you regularly played WoW, you wouldn't have heard the term nearly as often. This is probably why I don't associate the two at all, really. So, basically, it's a stigma attached by outsiders to something they've never experienced. Well, they did experience it (in FFXI); but they refuse to acknowledge that what they experienced is this unholy "raid" thing. . .
