With the amount of posts hating on the Atma fate farming, has a dev reply been posted anywhere? A huge amount of people who pay for the game monthly are pretty damn pissed I'd be surprised if there is no reply yet.

(Not pissed, just curious, atma is annoying but acceptable)

Too fast.... takes 1 week to collect data. Another to translate. And another to discuss and another to draft out a reply and finally another for translation and reply across all languages.

I think if SE is trying to be people to log on besides raid nights they succeeded. I seriously doubt they will need the drop rate. In 6 months I still don't think they should change the drop rate. This is for the starting quest for you über class weapon that you get to keep forever and keep upgrading. The final stats of the weapon are not even In The game yet as this quest continues over each patch.

It is not something you are supposed to blow through in a day. I don't know why so many of you are freaking out over it. RNG a shit and all but just put 30 minutes into fates if you want to try and get it, instead of going for 10 hours and bitching you didn't get one.

PLAY. THE REST. OF THE GAME.

Atma is the progression for people who enjoy grinding. Every other weapon in the game is the opposite.


Why the hell do people bitch about this so much. Treat it like PVP, Crafting, Gathering, or anything else you personally wouldn't pay attention to, and play the game with no detriment.


Atma and Animus aren't even the strongest weapons in the game by a longshot, and for the same amount of time for the full upgrade you could probably obtain a Tidal Wave weapon which is superior anyway.



You do not need to bother with the grindy Atma weapons. You are not missing out on anything optimal.

Don't grind atmas if you don't like it. Atmas are for people who like grinding. Progressing your relic quest IS NOT NECESSARY! There are other ways to get weapons and other content to do.

No, they're all grinds. The only difference is that atma stuff is grinding super easy casual content like FATEs, and other weapons are grinding unfriendly hardcore content like extremes and coil.

Unfriendly hardcore content is the natural progression of the game. You get higher in strength, you fight increasingly difficult enemies. If you want the game to let you get stronger but never get more difficult, then i dont know what on earth you enjoy playing. I dont think anyone can really understand what goes on in the mind of someone who enjoys spamming fates and rolling dice for hours on end. But SE appealed to them because they were able to WITHOUT upsetting the balance of the game.


If the Atma weapons eventually became more powerful than the highest current equipment, THEN i would be pissed. But it isn't. It's mostly identical to the Tidal Wave weapons in strength (minus the water resistance), and is significantly weaker than the new Allagan weapons and another type of weapon i dont even know how to obtain yet.


It's just a sidequest. Nothing more. It allows you to get a pretty decently strong weapon WITHOUT progressing in the story, but progressing the content is the reason they patched the game, So i can't for the life of me figure out why people are jumping on Atma first as if they're required to do so.


Just ignore it, and come back to it when you have nothing else to do. But there's plenty to do, so why the shit are you guys barfing over the weakest addition to the patch?
