It'd be more practical to have an incredibly low drop (Like now) that slowly increases overtime per FATE participated in in that specific area. Progression is achieved, RNG is in-tact for those who like it, it's still a grind to keep people playing in those areas.

I don't CARE when will I get it or when will someone else get it. Why should I smash my head against the wall for such stupid reason? I'll get it when I get it. Gosh, people have no patience.

Most of my friends in FC are already on 6/12 and I haven't even started yet, so what?

Sounds reasonable to me, but I'm sure somebody is going to claim that would be handing out free gear or something equally ridiculous.

It's called giving feedback and it's perfectly acceptable. Yes, even complaining is a form of feedback. If SE does not want the feedback, they can delete/lock threads/posts or make it against the rules.

I'm certain it'll be nerfed eventually as well, just like everything else.

Good, you can leave. You would have left anyway if everything was too easy and you cleared it all in the first week, or someone else would have. It's people like me that have been subbed since day one and this new grind makes me happy because I had literally nothing left to do for MONTHs, but I still stayed subbed. This farm will keep me busy for my main and alts.

I bet people like you (casuals) don't even have T5 cleared and you want this new weapon? What for? You will hesitate to enter new Coil again, so your previous i90 should be good for your "casual" play. If you do plan on doing new Coil, then how about you do Leviathan Ex for i100 weapon? Or get the vendor weapon? There are so many choices with this patch. Relic isn't the end of the world. Many hardcores I know are actually keeping it as a side task while they are farming Leviathan for Coil because these relic upgrades aren't even useful until the next patch that increases their ilvl. So you have a month or two to fully acquire all atmas before it becomes useful...

I'm sure when it eventually will be made easier there's going to be another set of crying posts on how we shouldn't have what you worked do hard for.

This is the forums. People enjoying the game are the ones who are there actually playing it right now.

I'm playing it and reading/posting on the forums. Just wanted to point that out.

There is a conflict of scope here.

    What people view is adventuring.

I hear a lot of complaints about 'the grind' but the truth of the matter is, the grind is anything we don't enjoy that we feel as if we are forced to do maintain ourselves or to obtain our desires, regardless of whether or not it is in real life, or in gaming.

This means, 'the grind' is subject directly to the viewpoint of the person participating in such action. What one views as enjoyable leisurely activity, another may find as boring, tedious grind.

What someone views to be a highly exciting, epic confrontation, could be viewed as a highly frustrating, back breaking grind.

Both of these viewpoints are relevant to some, irrelevant to others. And we strive to group ourselves with others to try to make our individual opinions seem more valid. Thus is the endless polarity debate these forums fall into like a trap.

Honestly, I'm not afraid to stand alone with my opinion - I don't feel as if the FATE system itself is innately bad. However, when it was the only source of decent EXP, players burnt themselves out on it, and that negative impression carries with them entirely. This, paired with the expectation that any step, even the first step, of a journey to create an epic weapon should be epic, makes this matter thoroughly miserable on the base level. To this, I simply disagree on both matters. Adventuring has its points of high tension, and it's points of low tension. This leg of our Zodiac Weapon journey is a low-tension one. Enjoy it as something leisurely.

The issue of the Randomized Loot, is a larger issue with this patch in general, that is spread across a lot of the patch's loot distribution this time around. In my view it is controversial and contrary to the original build of the game. I personally do not enjoy it as I do the more certain path that currency builds to. And the fact that it does now impede the currency path of gearing is personally bothersome. However, I don't believe it is grounds to severely disrespect someone or be vulgar in any way. The juxtaposition from being in the favor of the patch to falling out of favor of the patch has provided me a learning experience to help gauge my conduct, as well as that of the community better, at least in some small manner.

I am not happy with the concept of what has been presented before me. My viewpoint may change as I go to experience it personally. However, in the meanwhile my feedback is that future steps be measured with more certainty than what has been presented before us in this patch, this includes Atma drops, as well as the Sands/Oils of Time, and the Unidentified Tomes.

That said, I am not adverse to continuing long-term goals and I will make the best of the experience presented before me, rather than allow myself to agonize and be infuriated over the matter. I recommend, as I did before with the previous patch, that people broaden their horizons as to their playstyles, and look at opportunities within the mechanics to reach out and participate in the community aspects of the game. There may be someone there whom you can commiserate with, who may wind up being a friend you have for decades.

The issue I'm having with Atma is that it feels boring to me. I'm actually a very patient person (Except for wanting my Red Mage right now), but atma tests the limits of my patience by having me do fates over and over again in a slight hope that I get something in return for my jacked up armor. So, I stopped for now and I decided to just focus on my withered items. Maybe I may pick it up again some day but it really doesn't appeal to me to beat my head against a wall until I get something out of it. It's just not my ideal definition of fun. But if it is for other people, more power to them. Just don't get pissed at them for being bored of being stuck in the same area with a .1% chance of getting something they need.

However I did find that getting your relic was a bit easy compared to most rewards in games, I think this is kind of an extreme alternative. I would have rather have had a long quest line that required me to gather, fight for, dungeon for whatever I needed with a clear goal that was sensibly reachable over time that was an actual challenge rather than a test of how good I am at repeating the same thing over and over again.

I guess what I am trying to say here is that I don't feel engaged going for Atma.
