Yup. Crafting, and repairing at the state its in is inaccessable for casual players..

What part of dropping your gear off at the mender's ward is inaccessible for casual players?

I gotta agree with TheVedis, it's incredibly simple to get gear repaired in town by merely sitting on the stairs for an hour and not offering some pittance as a reward (having mats is smart too if you're not afk)., I also think the repair kit is a pretty bright idea. Forgive me for not reading the whole thread (it's gigantic) but I always thought they should make the NPC repair stuff to 100% in case you need to do a trade with it quickly or want to put it on a retainer (probably for a loss with the NPC price :P). The catch to this would be to really lower the prices for gear that's extremely low rank (1-20) and jack it up for the high ranks. This way, you're encouraged to make friends who craft, craft stuff yourself, or just bite the bullet and have the NPC take a bunch of gil to do it. I think they made some pretty good improvements to the repair system and making crafters less useful isn't the answer.

No, that's what the NPC repair vendor is for.

The NPC vendor is not now nor has it ever been a valid option. It's just some ridiculous nonsense that only repairs certain items to 75% for absurdly high fees. It's not even close to being a reasonable option when you're in a hurry. Might as well just leave the gear shattered until you can get it fixed properly.

Again i see that damage is simply to fast.

A lv 30 Spear on a 35 character (not outranked) fall from 100 to 60 in less then 3 hours...

    it's simply a nonsense.

I'm ok with fast damage when you use an outranked equip..but when you choose a correct lv gear you MUST have a benefit...now difference from outranked weapon and correct lv weapon is too limited
