yea... your right, I apologize for my error:
it is already semi worthless now. The high allagan (ilvl115), restored version of the 'weathered' series (ilvl110) and tidal wave (ilvl100) are better then it, although the tidal waves may be case by case on the weapon comparisons themselves.
High Allagan is basically irrelevant for the purpose of this conversation, do you really think the majority or even a sizable fraction of the playerbase will have the High Allagan by the time 2.25 rolls around? Hell, not all groups have even beaten Turn 5 by the time 2.2 hit, six months after its release. O_oyea... your right, I apologize for my error:

Even if so, the High Allagan are supposed to be top tier. The Zodiac is not. o.O It's supposed to be competitive.
The Tidal Waves do not make the Animus worthless at all, they are roughly equal, and, at 2.25, the Zodiac will outdo the Tidal Waves easily.
O_o The Weathered start at 100 and upgrade to 110 through an unknown mechanism that likely involves Coils, which not everyone participates in. This makes the Animus competitive for now, lagging behind a bit once people acquire the upgrade items for Weathered (how are they acquired? are they rare? will you have to compete with others for them?), and competitive again in 2.25.
Any way you look at it, this is a fine weapon option that will grow stronger and have unique features to it as the system expands.
Where is the problem?
