You don't need to farm for Darklight, you can probably just farm CT for you i80, fact is Darklight is already skippable if you endure CT a bunch of times. On the other hand though, if they make myth easy to farm, then people will just skip anything between 55 and 70 and go straight to 80/90.
They keep changing stuff from patch to patch, makes it seem like they are updating on the spot without previous planning of the big picture.
I was pretty annoyed to see they nerfed tome drops. All this means is even more mindless grinding of the same few dungeons over and over again. I for one don't think I can tolerate it at this rate.

2.2.5 will probably buff the drops for soldiery (in 1.5 months or so). Until then I think they are encouraging people to do the new dungeons and whatnot. They did this around the 1.15 patch or whenever when they bumped up the myth drops from all the dungeons.
So places like WP and AK can expect like 20-30 maybe while Copperbell and Hauke around the 35-40 mark (give or take).
Speculation of course.
Eh, I dunno about that. Sure soldiery is probably a little harder to cap now than myth was between 2.1 and 2.2, but I think the biggest problem is myth rewards didn't increase as much as they should have. They're exactly the same as they were in the 2.1 dungeons and extremely low on CM and praetorium. I didn't think to look for it, but I wonder if Aurm Vale (which used to drop a tiny amount of philosophy) now drops minuscule amounts of myth (thinking 1-3).2.2.5 will probably buff the drops for soldiery (in 1.5 months or so). If they were any higher there would be no reason to farm the darklight, or any other level 50 dungeon. SE is clearly thinking about the future.Eh, I dunno about that. Yea I was a little confused about it but after a night of playing and contemplating I think it's best they lowered the myth tomes. I mean most of us can farm coil for i90, if it remained 50 per we'd be capped in an couple hours and have tons of i90 from coil.. So I just think from a balance POV lowering myth was necessary, and it also slows the game down a bit (or stretches content out, rather).
Who would farm Darklight when you can run CT over and over, needing all the i80 gear you can while also receiving 100 Myth per pop? With CT being farmable and having a low entry ilvl, DL is completely useless now.

Well there are no accessories in CT.. And very little CT gear has enough accuracy on it for coil which means, starting out, you may need a DL piece or 2 combined with CT gear to run coil.. I'm in this situation on my SMN, I got a few pieces of DL and CT, but need accessories now. I can run coil on mains for alt gear, but in general someone just starting out is not going to be able to completely skip DL..
TY for this
Guess I can throw in the myth and soldiery drop rates for treasure maps. I didn't get any triple tome rewards from the small amount I did, but I assume they still happen.
Leather - No tomes, same as before.
Goatskin - 3 Myth
Toadskin - 5 Myth
Boarskin - 7 Myth
Peisteskin - 7 Myth, or occasionally 3 Soldiery
I am assuming Boarskin can also drop Soldiery once in a while, but I only did one, so I don't know for sure yet.
