Chatting with the your teammates instead of running around like an NPC tank-bot does wonders for attitudes.

I never seem to have issues with this. I usually get complaints I go too fast and people want me to slow down. If I get a complaint it is usually that I am going too fast, slow pulls are boring imo. I usually slow down a bit if someone asks and rest of the party agrees.
Remember you are in a party not dictating as a tank the flow of the group so don't just do whatever you want. If you can't fast pull with healer and health in the right places re-roll DPS because you are most likely a bad tank. By level 50 you should have had enough practice tanking there is no surprises in how to tank. Also if you learn to fast pull you will realize you take less damage this way. I usually stun the last mob at 50% and run and get the next group of mobs making me not take hardly any damage from the last mob in a pack.

tbh i hate seeing people treated like that in those dungeons, me as an Ilvl 90 pld (guess that doesnt mean much now that the ilvl has been increased) refuse to move forward until new people are told about the fights, or watched cutscenes

Just a reminder that you can walk your ass out and let them whine by themselves. There is no reason why you should let people abuse you on DF, and you can specifically have the luxury of finding a new group easily as a tankteaches them a lesson to be "nice or else"
I am a pretty new player to the game lvl 33 tank as of now. Never played ff 11 online so I never understood who did what. I caught a lot of crap from people who thought they knew what I was supposed to be doing and hated it. Then I finally met some cool people who helped me out and actually told me what I was doing (what the others told me to do) was way wrong. I play with those people as often as I can. I guess what I'm saying is play with people who help and don't judge. Thanks to the people who said the dps and other classes have long waiting times for waiting for tanks. This will prove handy when push comes to shove.
Wow really, the tanks now also have to start conversations. I would expect the half asleep scholar or auto attacking bard to be able to do that. Also i dont wanna wait 30 seconds before every pull to compliment the healer on his CT vanity dress and im sure that 2 out of the 3 other guys also dont.
We need a "hug it out bitch" emote unique to tank class. I think that would solve a lot of problems![]()
There just needs to be more communication, most of the XIV crowd plays it on the PC, followed by PS3 and PS4 most likely. They have keyboards, they can easily talk with other people, I often examine full parties sometimes just to see who is on what system. I can understand when PS3 users don't want to communicate heavily, I didn't either until I found a keyboard for XIV. But when a PS3 user like me is initiating conversation and trying to give advice and you're met with silence, especially since I'm using Tank the most recently, it's thoroughly annoying to be trying to direct the run constantly to get insulted at the end of it because you were complaining a lot when someone else wasn't doing their role.
>You don't speak up
> You get issues with the run and no one is trying to correct them
>You say that we should have just given up on Titan HM by the 20 minute mark
>You get chastised for "moaning" when you just wanted to get through it quickly and easily and not spend 40 minutes doing something that should take a maximum of 15 minutes
