Atma Farming. Thank you SE :)

Oh i am so pleased with the Fate-grind, since it actually feels like you achieved something after you got an Atma. People can complain about low RNG as much as they want, this is something to look forward to and to complete.

After you it feels like you've done something after you got the Drop. Kind of like "old school" Subjob Farming in XI. I really like it, there is not much more to say about it.

Thank you SE for listening to "old school" players and those who don't mind low drop-rates, since that is what it makes it feel like an actual achievement.

Mixed with the Myth-Farming and completing the Books, this is something fun and i really really hope you will keep it this way.

Ow? Did you get the 12 Atma Stones already? Nice! (^_^ )-b I’m on 3/12 myself. But, could you tell me more about these books? Is it true that you need to buy several books, each costing 1500 Myth tomes to get?

If so, how many books do you need for the quest? And what do you have to do for them?

More importantly, where do you get them? Haha

I’ve tried reading up on it on the forums, but i see some contradicting reactions. (And also, curiosity killed the Miq’ote, so thank the Twelve i have White Mage / Scholar friends… (^_~ ) )

Nope, not at 12 yet. That would have been fast.. xD 3/12 so far.

The Books will cost you 1500 Myth and you need a total of 9 Books, which includes several things you have to complete. ( 7/2 for PLD Sword/Shield ). So it is basically a total of 13500 Myth.

EDIT: Each Book will add Stats to your Atma Weapon, until its finished into Animus. So i.e. Book 1 gives STR+2, Book 2 gives VIT+2 ( just example numbers )

I know this is a little off-topic. I just picked up my Quest this morning and judging from what I've ready already I just wanted to confirm one thing. In the Quest details, they obviously list 12 areas to get your Atmas. You can do ANY FATE in that area I assume right? And then once you get one from that area, just go to the next?

I like the fact to accomplish something, and that takes a long time to achieve, but FATEs are not fun enough, it's just burst mobs. It's even less fun when you're doing it in SCH... They have to do something about Fates to be more fun and not just bursting mobs that have time to pop.

Well, some people have all the luck in Hydaelyn, so i wouldn’t really surprise me if a handful of people got all 12 Atma Stones already. Hehehe.

Hmmm. Sounds to me like i made a good choice, going for the Zodiak weapon upgrade. I like the sound of completing task from books to get an incremental upgrade for your weapon. All the more reason for me to get those 12 Atma Stones this weekend. (^_^ )-b

Do you have any idea where you can get those books? Do you need to purchase them from Rowena?

I should be able to get 1500 Myth tomes this weekend (i have about… Um… 1000 Myth tomes atm i think).

The Atma Stones are Physical items in your inventory, so be sure to have 12 slots available! When you get all 12 of them, you will be able start the next quest.

No, there isnt a tracker. You can also get multiples of the same ones if you stay in a single zone.
