Exactly, I know absolutely no one who wanted more FATE grinding, yet it's funny how the 'FFXI crowd" and "less than 1%" crowd are being blamed for this when people were saying SE would never listen to those crowds haha. It seems people (including SE) forgot what "open world content" meant honesty, we want FAtEs to be gone in terms of end-game or even seasonal events.I think people on the forums are misplacing blame. The FFXI and older MMO crowd that wanted a longer quest and something to work towards, that you couldn't get in a day.. was also looking for open world stuff that was fun an engaging. I've never heard any of them say they liked fates, and wanted to do all of the ones currently available over and over again. Some aspects of the quest (the part after you get done with the 12 atmas) seem to be more that style.. but the fate part really isn't. That's just SE trying to shove Fates down people's throats. The "1%" didn't ask for that.

Totally with you there, even if we rarely agree on stuff.Exactly, I know absolutely no one who wanted more FATE grinding, yet it's funny how the 'FFXI crowd" and "less than 1%" crowd are being blamed for this when people were saying SE would never listen to those crowds haha. It seems people (including SE) forgot what "open world content" meant honesty, we want FAtEs to be gone in terms of end-game or even seasonal events.I actually don't mind the 2nd portion of the weapon quest.. it's just the "do the same old FATES till your eyes bleed and hope you get a drop" portion that I want to go away. Totally fine with saving up a huge amount of myth, killing x number of mobs, having to craft or gather some rare something, take down group based objectives.. all those are trackable, and can be very fun. Fates reduce me to sitting around spamming flash (or my 1-2 combo since I have to level down all the time). Doesn't even require me to pay attention to my screen

I literally fell asleep grinding fates. I have yet to fall asleep while playing this game. Id rather find a specific Shiny Pokemon than get 12 atmas. But im sure SE is laughing at the community. We asked for this.. they'll fix it in the future, but for now we're getting what we asked for.

Wished people would quit saying "we asked for this." No one asked for FATEs to be involved with anything. Every time we have a new seasonal event there's 5 or 6 threads that pop up saying stop putting events in FATEs. FATEs have and will always be a bad idea and threads like that show people don't want them. It's not like they bring the community closer all we have is people joining "Atma FATE PT" then dropping and teleporting when they get theirs. Not that I can blame people because there isn't a way to help out others with this but my point is FATEs aren't bringing the "community closer." What people have asked for is for real progression towards endgame goals such as the books that come after the 12 Atmas. RNG is an easy way to gate content. People expect some RNG to be involved but toss in low RNG onto FATEs that are just Flash, Overpower, Holy, Blizzard 2, Wide Volley spamming that requires 0 cooperation, thought or skill to this "endgame" content... it just cheapens the whole idea of Zodiac progression and the weapons themselves.
LoL. this quest probably is the worst quest ever.
There is no sense grinding FATEs for hours to get 0 drops.
I've been doing FATEs today for 2 Hours in Upper La Noscea = no drop.
There are friends of mine that have 6 or more Atmas and spent maybe the half of the time I spent.
I'm getting bored. There's no sense in this quest, and honestly I think that most people haven't 12h to throw away grinding fates hoping to have 1 atma.
If they want FATEs to be involved in the progress, it would have been nice if they at least increased the drop rate.
I'm already tired of this quest, after 8 hours of tries.

I will just say this, once you get pass these 12 atmas it is so much more relaxed lol I mean all im doing after getting the weapon is killing mobs and dungeons and leves for the books.
Was waiting for all the crying about this. The wow kids are used to hand fed welfRe epics and instant gratification.
How many here did the vex thal key quest? (Should be interesting)
With that said. No such thing as central la noscea. Is that supposed to be middle?
^ I like how not wanting to grind level 5 mobs for hours on end equals wow kiddy.
The FATE grind is just annoying and tedious. There is nothing fun about it, and when its over, no sense of accomplishment because there was never any challenge. I'm fine with things taking a while to do, but the tasks that I need to perform should at least be somewhat engaging.
Questing is like participating in an Old Spice Commercial - Talk to me, talk to him, talk to me, talk to him, Now Talk To Me...Sadly, you are not done, back to him, look there, its that mob I never liked, back to me, back to him...I'm in the Waking Sands.
