I study music too, extra-curricularly, so I guess it takes a certain type of person to dislike these things as intensely as we do. Quite frankly I'm amazed there are even those among us who would let this glaring flaw slide, but I suppose they are not left-hemisphere types.

Anyhow, considering that this sound effect is such a recurring element of the battle system, which incidentally, is the only thing in the game getting an overhaul right now, it seems both prudent and convenient to fix the sound effects now whilst they are still fixing the system to which the sound effects belong. After all, SE has consistently shown they are incapable of multi-tasking, so let's make the most of their fixation on this one task by suggesting fixes for it.

And just because a thread suggests a positive change for the game (even while doing so in a negative way) doesn't mean it's a troll thread.

And as to Gramul's suggestion of letting these faults remain in the game just to preserve the game's image... well to that I say WTF?

I mean, let's put aside the fact that SE's image has been dragged through the mud so much recently that there is little "image" left to preserve, and let's instead turn our attention to the fact that SE has given us so many minor fixes already, we might as well capitalise on this and get one small fix that people will actually enjoy, for once in our lives.
