If Liberator is for Dragoon, does that say something about the future of Dark Knight?

I don't think that DRK will get a scythe, just like DRG did not get a wyvern, there are only a couple of examples of a DRK using a scythe in FF, mainly just XI, that also did DRG with a wyvern. This game tends to go for the overall style of ff, and in most ff's drk used a great sword, that is the ICONIC, DRK, Cecil, etc., just like 99% of DRG don't have wyverns in FF. I get that you thought it was cool cause it had it, but for most ff fans (I played xi, but most ff fans did not), they see drk having a GS and not a scythe, just saying.

In every other game, they use Great Swords.

i know that fact! but it doesnt make it better for me. the DRK in FFXI with scythe was the "coolest" if you ask me personally.. but well its just me..

thats the way its going to be like. (in my opinion... totally boring)

they destroyed smn for me so why not DRK as if i havent seen enough swords in any MMO the past years. but well.

When dark knight is going to be the second job for gld. it would be even more likely that this job uses swords, too. the slight difference will be then, that gld/pld uses one hand, and the drk 2Hand swords.

your post was the best btw. in contrast to those "but scythe is a harvesting tool for the death" comparisons which are right far away from what animes and eastern fantasy can be about.
