You don't need an overmelded i70 ring gear to play your class in end-game dungeons that drop i90 gear.

You want to have the BiS, because that's a personal goal of yours to have. But it's not 100% necessary.

And end-game raiding? I've been part of progression guilds in WoW. It's all the same. If you honestly believe you need to have as much HP as possible to clear a dungeon and are going to fret over a minor stat boost, you are too serious. FFXIV encounter design is focused on learning a boss pattern and having a full party. With or without overmelded VIT gear you will end up dying the same until everyone learns the boss strategy.

You act like this is such serious business, but it's a videogame. You're supposed to win. The game is designed to allow you to win. Get over yourself.
