You clearly aren't paying any attention to the rest of my post. Vintage HQ kite shields were selling for 10-12k~ now they aren't~ Gathering materia is selling for (dependent on materia type/level) anywhere from 3.5k to 50k a piece. You don't just grab any old item and expect it to make money~ you play the boards and work out the items that are really selling fast~

you're just bitter than others can play more than you and actually understand market economics~

If your server's market is really as bad as you say, then me thinks you should move server or shut up complaining. your choice to stay where you are~ Don't punish others because you want to make money without understanding a damn thing.

    No listing fee please~
    100k ?? Whay server are you ?
On all the servers I played in it I was so surprised that even materia prices are droping , I used to sell save aim materia with 20k+ but because of ppl keep undercuting it now its worth 3k- , since I spent alot of time SBing that price kinda worthless .

I saw items worth 5+ gil if ypu sold them to NPC but players sell it for 1gill LOL .

    I play on balmung, and I feel that you might have been slightly mistaken ^^;

when I say 100k, I mean collectively (5 gained materia from gathering can equate to anywhere from 15k if you're unlucky to over 100k if you get a few lvl4s or the really popular lvl3s)

Really looking forward to after 2.2's patch goes in~ high level gear (guessing Ilvl50+ is going to spiritbond faster~ so adding a lvl1 materia+it being a HQ item will drastically speed up SB time = more profit<3)

He's not mistaken. You only play on a Legacy server.

Try playing on a server where everyone doesn't have a bunch of gil from 1.0.

They weren't selling like that on every server.

Again. Those values aren't the same on every server. And your solution to just play the game more often (or rather, camp the market boards for hours and not do anything else) isn't something people with jobs and lives can do, so it's no solution at all. You shouldn't have to camp the market boards for hours to make money.

    1. Nobody is being punished. You already pay a fee when items sell, but the fee should be for listing the item. The fee structure is designed wrong.

    2. Not everyone can move to the same servers, as they have population caps.

    3. The problem is with the game not having listing fees.

And before you insult people, you might want to not indicate you have no life outside of playing FF XIV. These games are meant to be a hobby, not the purpose of your existence.

You may wish to check a few things.
Firstly: The forum states WHICH server you are on~
Secondly: The values I said were specific to my server~ You need to check your own damn server~
Thirdly: Insulting people by claiming we have no life/camp the boards is going to backfire spectacularly~
    Fourthly: As I said in yet another thread, I play for 2-4hours a day~ Not 20+ hours~

See, here's the inconsistency that implies you either play more than you claim to, or you don't do as well as you claim to.

You can't watch the market prices unless you play alot. This is because the history page only shows the most recent transactions; for items that sell constantly, it'll only be the last few hours of that day.

Or there are players such as myself that are better than you and actually don't need to take an hour for...1 item~

Hey, here's an idea. Buy up all the 1 gil items. Take it over to the NPC. Vendor it. Repeat. ???. Profit. There's no need for a % cut of the sale, because it doesn't stop anyone from undercutting. They just take a smaller profit and still undercut you. Get used to it. Just take a look at the abominable market that is TOR to see this in action.

I mentioned before, but I've done this. It doesn't stabilize the market; within a few hours there will be tons of items undercut at 1 gil again. All it ends up doing is wasting my time, since on the PS3 I have to constantly reopen the stupid window for that item after buying it.
