If you are jealous, then I suggest you pick up tanking. In the meantime, let me count on my hand how many tanks give two shits about that 3500 gil...um zero.

I care about 3500 gil too. I do it once a day, for 30 minutes tops. In a week, I get 24.5k. Not counting the money from the actual dungeon drops, whatever possible loot you can sell, and spiritbonding.

I won't say no to free money if it's easily attainable.

That said, roulette rewards aren't part of the discussion here. Roulette are 4-man dungeons, so they will never contribute to getting the mount anyway.

As for me, I plan to get the mount by spamming Coil I or something.

This is kida wierd because i thought that adding mount for tanks was supposed to ease the wait time for DF groups by encouragin tanks to join DF more that they currently are, so if we are required to do 8man conent for that it will absolutely do nothing for "lack of tanks" issue. Atleast i have zero plans to tank Coil 1/EX primals for pug's/DF when i am already busy to spam those places for FC members. Well only time will tell if this worked or not.

Kind of sucks since I won't get the mount even though I've been tanking since beta.

There is no way anyone has more than 200 succesfull completions of these instances as a pld.

I think I have enough on PLD, but I'll have to do some work on WAR to finish it off.

Somehow it feels like they are offering the reward for us to tank in EX Primals. Seeing as how we would complain that Primal Fending accessories suck, and we would often prefer to go on other classes to lot on gear for alt classes instead.

It seems to me that the confusion around these boards comes from the fact that people interpret the requirement in 2 different ways.

The first way of reading it, is that all 8 man content counts toward the achievement. In which case, yea I believe you that you meet the requirement. I may have 200 completions myself. But:

The second way of reading it, and tbh I dont see how else you should read it, is that ONLY the dungeons listed by the notes are counted toward the achievements. So I post it again from the notes:

"As of patch 2.2, the following trials and raids will count toward achievements requiring the completion of high-level duties with a full party:

The Howling Eye (Extreme) / The Navel (Extreme) / The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) / The Whorl Eater (Extreme) / Thornmarch (Extreme) / The Binding Coil of Bahamut (excluding Turn 3) / The Second Coil of Bahamut"

If this is true, then I do not meet the requirements and I highly doubt you do too. Just for reference, completing coil 1 to 5, is only 4 completions per week. So in 1 month, you get 16 completions assuming you never missed any. In 5 months, thats still only 80 completions. And thats assuming you tanked coil since November last year, never missed any coils. Never were sick. Never had a project meeting its deadline, never had to work overtime for your boss and never had any internet outage or another triple A game you wanted to play and finish that week. And if you have all this done, you still need to get 120 primal extreme kills, using only paladin or only warrior.

If the second way, is how you should read it, then trust me, only a handfull of people have that many kills on their name using only a tank job.

And as for that guy who said he cared about the roulette gils:
lol I do not doubt that you spam run roulettes on a satursday evening but trust me when I say you are absolutely unique in that regard than. Because 23k gil a week is fkin PEANUTS. You must be very poor in game to be that desperate. As for me, I tend to spend my time a bit more productive.

I'm still kind of hoping that the translation is a bit off, and all of my previous 4 and 8 man dungeon runs will count. Yoshi-P said that it was something for players that have been tanking for a long time, not for players who will tank for a long time from here on out. I have a feeling that I am going to be disappointed.

what i mean is that we start to see tanks complaining when they have no reason to. All class are the same but they get more money and special mounts.
and yes, i will take my tank to coil for mount as well, personally not complaining and very happy to get my bear in the future

tanks complaining about having to do 200 fights are the one ridiculous in my book
