sad i tank all that stuff in static as PLD.. i dont care for the lion.. i wan the bear
time to tell static ima be WAR forever now
This isn't a thankyou to tanks. You have this following the table:
As of patch 2.2, the following trials and raids will count toward achievements requiring the completion of high-level duties with a full party:
The Howling Eye (Extreme) / The Navel (Extreme) / The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) / The Whorl Eater (Extreme) / Thornmarch (Extreme) / The Binding Coil of Bahamut (excluding Turn 3) / The Second Coil of Bahamut
So not only do this mean lots of tanking, but actual end-game raid tanking.
Its a kick in the teeth...
There is no way anyone has more than 200 succesfull completions of these instances as a pld. I know I killed garuda ex more than 70 times but thats with 5 different jobs, not with pld alone.
The simple truth is, once you get your primal accessory, you move on to the next or play with a different job. Dungeons like amdapor keep, pharos sirius and castrum (dungeons that a mere 3 months ago were still regarded as "high level" dungeons) should have counted towards the score.

They did mention that it's for those that have been tanking for a long time, so not expecting it to be easy to get.
Well some incentive for me to start tanking coil instead of just dps-ing.
It should be every lvl 50 instance because this isn't going to help queue times in one bit.
That's my thought as well except level 50 instance are easy to rush through, then you will get more speed run cause tank want to get their 200 dungeon run for the mount. Probably would have been better if it's a mix of achievement like tank a certain amount of level 50 dungeon through DF, no premade + a certain amount of extreme/coil, can premade. This way it won't be easy to get since you still need to tank extreme/coil, it will also helps with the lack of tank in DF.
tanks will get 7x times more gils than before when doing roulette, they will get free mounts for playing their class and i still expect some of them to complain
poor tanks, really... such a hard life

What is this supposed to mean. Edit edit edit.
lol I have been tanking since October last year. Thats not a long time for you? When this patch comes out, I do not meet the requirement for mount. I doubt anyone does. I may only have 60 succesfull completions as pld on my name. And zero as war.
This is not a "thank you, tanks". This is a kick in the teeth and stay the f..k down.
I was running Castrum and Amdapor and Wanderers when they WERE the highest level dungeons. And I kept everyone safe and most of them dont even thank you for it and if you screw up, you would never hear the end of their bitching.
I still remember those Ifrit hm pug groups where you are responsible for stunning the eruptions. I stunned 9 out of 10 and that 1 time you were too late, they all started bitching at me. Good healers and range run away from eruptions regardless of stun anyway but noooooo...ofc it was all MY fault that they got hit. Never mind the fact that only 1 was missed. Good ol days, right.
And people wonder where all the tanks have gone?
I stuck around as tank but even tanking since October, there is no way I have more than 200 completions. Counting all coils and assuming you ran them for 4 months, that only gives you around 40-45 completions depending on your personal score. And then the primals. Well, maybe 20 as pld. And thats 60-65. If you had a static from the start and been tanking since August, you maybe have a bit more. So basically, at this rate, if you want both mounts...work on it till March 2015????? wtf and this is supposed to be a "thank you"?

I was going to post a reply, but I am lazy so here I just quote Hysterior post
There is no point in arguing with you anyway. I will still try to get that mount even though I am working from scratch with 0 extreme/coil clear as tank.
