This isn't a thankyou to tanks. You have this following the table:
As of patch 2.2, the following trials and raids will count toward achievements requiring the completion of high-level duties with a full party:
The Howling Eye (Extreme) / The Navel (Extreme) / The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) / The Whorl Eater (Extreme) / Thornmarch (Extreme) / The Binding Coil of Bahamut (excluding Turn 3) / The Second Coil of Bahamut
So not only do this mean lots of tanking, but actual end-game raid tanking.
Its a kick in the teeth...
There is no way anyone has more than 200 succesfull completions of these instances as a pld. I know I killed garuda ex more than 70 times but thats with 5 different jobs, not with pld alone.
The simple truth is, once you get your primal accessory, you move on to the next or play with a different job. Dungeons like amdapor keep, pharos sirius and castrum (dungeons that a mere 3 months ago were still regarded as "high level" dungeons) should have counted towards the score.

No, you dont. Well, actually maybe you do.
Edit.
It seems to me that the confusion around these boards comes from the fact that people interpret the requirement in 2 different ways.
The first way of reading it, is that all 8 man content counts toward the achievement. In which case, yea I believe you that you meet the requirement. I may have 200 completions myself. But:
The second way of reading it, and tbh I dont see how else you should read it, is that ONLY the dungeons listed by the notes are counted toward the achievements. So I post it again from the notes:
"As of patch 2.2, the following trials and raids will count toward achievements requiring the completion of high-level duties with a full party:
The Howling Eye (Extreme) / The Navel (Extreme) / The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) / The Whorl Eater (Extreme) / Thornmarch (Extreme) / The Binding Coil of Bahamut (excluding Turn 3) / The Second Coil of Bahamut"
If this is true, then I do not meet the requirements and I highly doubt you do too. Just for reference, completing coil 1 to 5, is only 4 completions per week. So in 1 month, you get 16 completions assuming you never missed any. In 5 months, thats still only 80 completions. And thats assuming you tanked coil since November last year, never missed any coils. Never were sick. Never had a project meeting its deadline, never had to work overtime for your boss and never had any internet outage or another triple A game you wanted to play and finish that week. And if you have all this done, you still need to get 120 primal extreme kills, using only paladin or only warrior.
If the second way, is how you should read it, then trust me, only a handfull of people have that many kills on their name using only a tank job.
And as for that guy who said he cared about the roulette gils:
lol I do not doubt that you spam run roulettes on a satursday evening but trust me when I say you are absolutely unique in that regard than. Because 23k gil a week is fkin PEANUTS. You must be very poor in game to be that desperate. As for me, I tend to spend my time a bit more productive.

My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.
23k gil a week from ALL sources is peanuts yes. 23k gil for 30 mins a day is not. Keep in mind that this is only bonus on top of the once a day bonus of 1500 gil. I don't claim to be overly rich, but I have made money selling off food, 2-star crafted gear, etc. So just doing roulette once a day gives you 33.5k gil or so a week. Provided you are not spending, this is pretty damn good from gil generated from the server, not by transferring gil around. Especially in this economic slump, where nobody is buying, and everyone is saving money to buy housing.lol I do not doubt that you spam run roulettes on a satursday evening but trust me when I say you are absolutely unique in that regard than. Not saying it's the only source, for example you definitely get a lot more doing peisteskin maps, but this is more payout than the NQ Cobalt Ingot leves in Saint Coinach's Find. For virtually zero effort.
Perhaps they hope to also alleviate that by introducing seven times the gil reward for the adventurer in need bonus. Which I would expect would still be tanks in 2.2. Perhaps it will change for the first few weeks, but I believe once the initial hype dies off, people will go back to playing DPS and healers.
