That's what i've been trying to say. If retainers only cost $.01 a month no one would flinch, which proves they WOULD buy it from a cash shop.

But because cost $2.00 a month, They're rallying up with picket signs.

So if you are willing to pay it for an extra retainer $.01 cent a month, but not for $2.00 a month...it shows they're being cheap.

I don't really care about whether there's retainers or not but I've got to ask. Who's more cheap? The people that want a P2P game to stick to a proper P2P business model? Or the people who want "SE to make as much money as they can" but refuse to give SE donations they could easily give them without getting something in return?

I think he's just saying it's stupid to give a company who makes more money in a day than you will make in your entire life money for things they would give us for what you're paying now. Again I never even complained about retainers. I was shooting down the fools trying to say "You know what? Let's add a vanity cash shop on top of this even though they're already giving us vanity items in basically every update and event. I mean those totally worked out for all those other P2P mmos that tried it right? *ignores the fact that every P2P mmo that's tried it besides WoW has either shut down or gone F2P*" Also no I wouldn't buy a retainer because I have no need for one. SE already said they were planning to give us a 3rd free retainer at some point anyways as far as I remember.

But yeah I know how much is against corporate greed, wanting to be the voice to change the world, wishing things were like they were, saving up for their cheeseburgers, etc. The thing is its not 2003 anymore. Everyone is trying to upsell every chance they can. If you dont support it, then dont buy. Some people don't mind paying, some don't. And thats OK....But calling people who are don't mind paying brainwashed is just as messed up as calling someone who can't afford to cheap...

To Be Blunt: If you don't like whats going on, then shut up, quit crying, and dont pay. They're not spamming you to buy a retainer.

For the record, I do not like cash shops as well...but remember in "WoW" when people were like, "I wish I can transfer to my friends sever so I won't have to level another alt, Id gladly pay for it", or "I dont want to be an orc anymore, I want to be a blood elf.", or "I have all this stuff I don't want to throw away because I might need it a year from now."

They get these ideas because of brats whining and complaining on the forums, Just how everyone here is doing now. If people just worked with what they had in the beginning and stopped crying over little things, they wouldn't have created convenience items in the first place.

People think doing the players a service by crying on the forums, when in reality they're giving their "opposition" more ideas to make money.

You think people who are willing to pay 2 bucks a month are corporate puppets? The one's complaining are the real puppets because you are giving them free data. Anyone who knows business knows customer opinion is a goldmine, and you give it for free. On their own forums.
