You can have the same battle in North Thanalan in the open world, with a lot more players fighting with you.

    Go, Go, Gorgimera ^^
Only the rewards could be better for lv50 classes

Every area should get tons of collectables for you to find.

Imagine them hidden behind enemies and DoL points.
These would go into a treasure log with every area having a set number of slots for you to complete.

The treasure could be hidden in any way possible. Just in a hard to find location, as a FATE reward, guven from a quest, as a fishable item, in shards as mob drops... The sky is the limit. This would make every nook snd cranny a potential place for treasure in the world.

I leave town all the time. Once we bought a house I rarely have a reason to leave my ward outside of grabbing something from a vendor, maps, or dailies. I finished my dailies last week so that's off the list now. Bring on the new content!

Every time someone posts that picture I think of that fate. Then I think to myself "but it clearly IS in the game." Having a clock on the side could have been anything not just instanced content. Fates themselves do have a clock after all. So yeah, they did that picture. The minor details changing is just a fact of software development. It's actually rather spot on for the most part.

    I then wonder:

"How does the FATE in N. Thanalan benefit level 50 characters in a meaningful way? How does it aid in level 50 progression? How does it compare to past Chimeras that even dropped DL gear? What purpose does it serve beyond trying to get people to level 50?"

A minion, GC seals, Gil, an achivement. The question is more what value do you place on these things post 50? What would you like for him to drop to make it of value to you? Then realize, depending on what you want it to drop, he might be quite harder. Then realize if it is something good, you'll have a LOT of people there. Then... well look at Odin/Behemoth.

I wish he would drop untradable crafting mats for ilevel 100 gear. The gear would be also untradeable after it is crafted.
25% drop if you get gold, need 6-10 mats for 1 set piece.

It would be the hardcore oldschool way to get ilevel 100 gear with no RMT or tomes involved ^^
Drop luck and level up grinds (for the crafting classes)

@OP, I spend most of my time out in the world. I would guess I spend about 80% out in the world, 20% in a hub. It may even be a more dramatic difference even. The content is there if you choose to do it.
