If by specialized SS you meant on the clockwork knights/ soldiers, I don't think that is a buff so much as their behavior. I don't recall ever seeing an icon to denote a SS-like buff when fighting them.
Look closer next time. They definitely have buffs. Can't be removed by One-Ilm all the same.
