Pay for 8 chars in a server on 1 account and you get 16 retainers. See how much $2 you saved. Oh wait it is troublesome to have 8 chars? It is worst that you can't fork out extra $2 a month...

Really?
Please, explain to me how would you transfer items between your own characters besides having another player come over and hold all your trash to trasfer it ever single time you need an item.
Find a better FC then.
This makes zero sense since you're trying to associate two different things just to come up with a reason why you should get a third retainer. I mean, your argument would completely fall apart if SE gave you a third retainer, but reduced the inventory and MB slots of each retainer by 1/3, while increasing the duration of ventures by 50% too.
I won't disagree that having extra retainers gives a player an advantage, but you're completely overlooking that the game already gives an advantage to players who pay more. People paying a standard fee can have 8 characters on a single server (each with 2 retainers), over people paying the entry fee. Having extra characters is a way better tool to monopolizing markets than extra retainers so you're really reaching if you want to argue that extra retainers is what's breaking the balance.

I 100% definitely agree with you that having extra characters/alts is a better tool than extra retainers. This whole thread would be moot and non-existent if only SE could let us friend our alts and send them mail but alas, it's not that time yetI won't disagree that having extra retainers gives a player an advantage, but you're completely overlooking that the game already gives an advantage to players who pay more. Note that I and a number of people don't want to just be "given" or be "handed" a free retainer off the bat, that's just ridiculous. We want the means to get it, without spending real money.
You want better gear -> craft it -> better gear
You want better gear -> dungeon or raid or quest it -> better gear
You need items for crafting -> buy it from the markets - > items
You need items for crafting -> farm it -> items
You want adventure -> see the world, do quests -> adventure
You want a social experience -> Join FCs, LSs find RPers etc -> social aspect
You want new items brought by new patch -> craft it -> items
You want new items brought by new patch -> dungeon or raid or quest it -> items
You need extra space for new stuff -> You need to pay for it -> wut
Make it IN-GAME, include extra retainer via quests, grand company assignments, a gil fee. Don't take it outside the game is all I ask.

The key word here is "NEED".
You do not NEED extra space, you WANT extra space. If each of your existing retainers is packed to the gills then it is time to clean house.
If SE released a free third retainer and you filled it up as well would you suddenly NEED a fourth? A fifth? A sixth?
If you NEED extra space what you NEED to do is toss some of the junk you're no longer using or hoarding for the sake of hoarding.
I just went through my retainers to clean things up. I was down to 25 slots left on each retainer, know what I had sitting on my materials retainer? SIX freaking stacks of HQ Electrum ore, Four stacks of HQ Mythril ore , three stacks of HQ mistletoe and the list goes on... after kicking myself for not remembering why I actually had so much crap I put it up on the market and look at all of the space I've opened up.
Hell I could even free up some space on my equipment retainer if I hadn't compulsively collected every single drop from AK and refuse to throw any of it away for some reason.
