    Those who have mentioned the spells getting cancelled when stuff moves behind you and what not, there is a way to help with that. I use legacy movement so I can't turn my character with my camera, but in keybinds under the targetting tab there is a face target keybind. Set something that is easy for you to hit there and use it when enemies are moving so that you turn to face them while casting, it helps a lot!
    I think a lot of people already do this, or at least I do, lol. The problem is just that some targets are pretty fast relative to cast times and inclined to move out of your LoS. Happens to me quite a lot and it's significantly more frustrating than having to move. There are some unlucky instances with Garuda where I barely get to hit plumes at all because the first one I target dashes past me before I can cast, the second one gets killed right before the cast goes off, etc. Before you know it AF3 wore because of cancelled casts.


    In any case, more in line with the OP's topic, the only adjustment I'd like to see for moving and cast interruption would be to make surecast allow for casting while moving. It would make it so that you could do it sometimes and give some utility to surecast (which currently has such little practical utility that I don't know anybody who uses it regularly). Might even see people grabbing surecast as a Xclass ability...maybe.

    Those were examples of monsters that spam special attack constantly. Any axe-wielding such as the Dalamud cult rogadyns, they spam overpowered constantly. When I solo the Ixali's for spirit binding they use overpower constantly. Could you imagine how often you would have to move if they were lethal?

    it's all part of the strategy, and I have heard a good number of blms saying they enjoy that aspect. While not as restricted as you I do have to plan out when I'm going to cast spells on titan ex or whatever. I think you are out of luck if you want to be able to cast spells at all times with no drawbacks.

    should also work when the target is "out of sight" too

    I agree with this post. Not moving while casting and bland rotations (dps-->filler-->dps-->filler) with random burst dmg from rng makes the playstyle very passive to me. I think a large part of this is that the cast time of our main nuke (fire 1) is very close to the gcd of 2.5 sec and hence it feels like we are either casting and not moving or moving and not casting. Having a few ogcd skills to mix things up would be nice or having a skill that allows us to move while casting would also be an option.

    This is in effect what swiftcast already does, it lets you move a spell on the GCD. You also have procs on GCD, learn when to use them and optimize.

    Titan EM is a fight that bad BLMs should hate, and good BLMs should love. It's a fight where you look terrible if you don't optimize it, and it is a fun fight to optimize. Before heart my movement is so minimal, there's a whole bag of tricks to get around having to move and discovering them is fun.

    I think it's more boring to be standing and just casting, thats boring, tje dance, like some one call it, makes the fight more fun for me

    Im getting tired of the class as well. ive been one since september. Just tired of the relative lack of options in atking i think. I do like the new 2.2 casting gear though. Dat purple and black O_O

    Im at an impasse in deciding what new class I want to be in coil next patch. I like dpsing as mnk/drg/smn, like healing, and like tanking as pld. So yeah...>_< lol

    I feel slower having to stop all the time and start running. I think it's all boring to sit still.

    I mean yeah you can use the skilsl to make landslide not push you, but that's only a small portion of alleviation to my boredom.
