What problems do you foresee? A few extremists blowing their top because a guy can wear a dress (even though they already can)? Does Blizzard experience problems because guys in WoW can wear wedding dresses and slinky Valentines dresses and whatnot? No, I've never once heard anyone upset over that. I honestly can't think of any significant problem that would happen whatsoever. It sounds more like you're arguing against this just to be arguing against it.

The context was vastly different when it came to WoW, the option was there, it wasn't requested or petitioned for.

You'd be surprised how people would react to this being an option, for the most part it'll get a good laugh few laughs, and people will enjoy using it, that however doesn't mean there isn't a good portion of people who won't find the same enjoyment in it. Personally I'd laugh at first, but it will bring it's share of problems with it.

You have to consider both sides of an addition like this.
And you can't simply pin it on "Abelist scum, omg totally repressing me" because that's no the point you should be focusing on.

But it doesn't really matter that much if it causes problems.

My point still stands that the developers are unlikely to add it, and that's all there is to that.

With the number of players who participate in WoW, you would think someone would notice and complain if they were really that bothered. But they don't. No one does. Because it doesn't actually bother anyone. You're creating controversy where there is none out of a perfectly innocent request.

Tights are tights, but when men put them on they're called something else /confusion.

Women call them leggings, too. Tights and leggings are pretty interchangeable.

Because the context, setting, style and implementation are completely different.

I disagree. All SE would have to do is make them wearable by whatever gender. It doesn't need fanfare. It doesn't need a "Look at what we can do now!" It's just implementing clothes that all can wear. I really, really doubt anyone would kick up a fuss.

Only time would tell, but it's not as easy as "making them wearable" it would have to be re-sculpted, meshed, topologised, textured, baked, rigged, skinned, weighted and tested.
This takes a long time. So it's more work. So it'd have to be future content if anything, they're not fond of re-doing finalised items. (Example: White Mage On/Off Hood Request)

Mischaracterize that's funny seeing as how that's all this thread has been doing to ppl if someone says they don't like men in a dress then omg there mischaracterize as a bad person maybe not you but others have been doing this all along
