Does this mean I can equip harps?
So what was even the point of the Odin armor? Like ever...?
Why not break it into 4 pieces and make each one cost 1 Mantle, body 2 if you insist it still cost 5 Mantles. Please? Nothing like completely wasted art assets.
So, where do you obtain prisms?
Only unused prisms are tradeable. So does that mean we can potentially make a glamour and then send it to an alt? That's my problem. I have my main character at 50 already, so he's fine. But I have plenty of alts I was looking forward to using glamour for, and if I can't even send a prism to them with a glamour set already on it, then that's still extremely ridiculous. Why lock it behind level 50? That's going to alienate a lot of players from something half the playerbase has been looking forward to since 2.0.
Seriously bad move.
You craft them or buy them in the MB

Personally I think its fine to have the quest be at level 50, but I wouldnt have minded if it were level 20 either. In this game, getting your first class/job to 50 is nice and unlocks everything, but unless your one of "those" people who has 8 characters and uses one for each job your going to have it unlocked forever. Seriously, you will hit 50 MANY times over for everything you end up doing with your one character, and having it gated behind doing it just once is nothing major.
And for people saying its elitist etc, if you play the game and gain xp you WILL hit 50, guaranteed. Its not like you have to down Turn 5 wearing a bikini to unlock it. Its something that EVERYONE can and will do if they keep doing things that give them xp. Its not locked behind anything out of reach by anyone at all.
That armor sample looks as if it has a red version of the texture used in the Snow Villiar's leather bandanna from the Lightning Returns set, on that male miqo. I wonder if they will ever allow glamouring of event gear like that.

Hai! I'm Vahl, in ur mmorpgs, sort'n my inventory and putt'n 2 many H's in my name since FFXI..FFXIV Inventory Tetris Champ
Pretty much, its ridiculous that they have gone this route when all they needed was a vanity tab in the character window.Bleh.... They could have taken an easy route to just have double slots for vanity, where you equip a vanity item that shows over the actual gear. That way you could equip a chest piece (Odin, Raindeer etc.) which would "overwrite" (render invisible) the other slots (belt, pants, boots, gloves). Alas, they had to overthink it.
You need to be able to equip both. So yeah, if you want a glamour axe, you need to be the axe class. If you want to use magic-only gear, you better be magic. If you want to use weaver-only gear, you better be weaver.Does this just mean you can't make a sword look like an axe, or pants look like a hat? Because, okay, I don't think anyone was expecting that. Or does "type" mean something more, like you can't make plate armor look like mail, leather, or cloth armor? Because that would be a unnecessarily lame restriction, IMO.
The All class stuff (event stuff) should be fine, as long as there is no multiple-slot issues (like the ghost hoods). Lightning event and Valentine event each take one slot and are "all classes". I'll use one for Scholar, one for Summoner.
Well, yes, most of it is DoM restricted. Only pre-i55 crafter/gatherer gear is "all classes".PLD plate wearer from looking like they're in cloth (since they can do that, unless it's DoM restricted).
The all-classes mage gear I can see is the generic one where you look like Gandalf-the-bland.
Battle Mage gear from Brayflox? Magic-only. DL? Magic-only. Myth? Job specific. Allagan? Magic-only.
