Glamours and Gear Preview (03/20/2014)

Well, the quest to unlock it is at 50. I'd assume you can still use Glamours for lower levels once it's unlocked. Just to be clear. But yeah, it's dumb either way.

So does that mean we can potentially make a glamour and then send it to an alt? That's my problem. I have my main character at 50 already, so he's fine. But I have plenty of alts I was looking forward to using glamour for, and if I can't even send a prism to them with a glamour set already on it, then that's still extremely ridiculous. Why lock it behind level 50? That's going to alienate a lot of players from something half the playerbase has been looking forward to since 2.0.

Maybe you can only "prism" the level 50 gears?

Bleh.... They could have taken an easy route to just have double slots for vanity, where you equip a vanity item that shows over the actual gear. That way you could equip a chest piece (Odin, Raindeer etc.) which would "overwrite" (render invisible) the other slots (belt, pants, boots, gloves). Alas, they had to overthink it.

It probably works like dyes. You can make all sorts of dyes on your main character, send all the dyes to your alts, doesn't mean they can use it until they can unlock the quest (sucks that it has to be 50 though).

Yea I'd say getting to 50 is a bit far off, but then again, getting your first 50 is easy too. And it's something to strive for if someone is fresh to the game no? Not gonna complain though since I have alts too, just happy that it is actually here

Lol, kinda surprised that the quest that unlocks glamour is a level 50 one. Some roleplayers might swear because of it. Then again, like it has been said. Doesn't really take that long.

Seriously not happy about the quest level to unlock glamours being level 50. I'm at 47 so it's not like I can't get to 50 by release, but it's the principle of all these restrictions. Also does it become available once your character reaches level 50 or only when you finish the main scenario level 50 quests like it was with the Unicorn mount at 30(?) This concerns me because I ground F.A.T.Es to get to the upper 40's so I could get all the Lightning Event gear and am now working my way back through the storyline.

No, still total disappointment. You could make your Odin suit (that you're actually wearing for some reason) look like a single body piece with no gloves, pants, or boots. You can not make your one-piece armor look like Herklaedi (or Darklight or anything else that happens to take more than one slot).

Yes, I read that, but still... why wouldn't they make it the other way round?
