So a level 30 WHM shouldn't be able to glamour any of the gear they've accrued while leveling?

This is absurd. I thought SE couldn't get any more ridiculous with their arbitrary restrictions, but I was wrong. It seems they are absolutely adamant about turning what should be a relatively freeform, enjoyable, and individualized game system into something only certain people can actually make use of. I have never seen a vanity system restricted to such an extreme degree before.

If you cannot equip something, you cannot use Glamours to look like you can

I think their point was the desire to have characters under level 50 be able to unlock the Glamour system itself, not level 50 armor.

Under level 50 there are armors that people still like and would like to use the Glamour system for, not that they should have access to lvl 50 gear that the character has not unlocked/can't equip at level 30.

For example, level 30 char uses Glamour system on armor he has acquired from level 1 to 30 and can equip from level 30 and under, NOT level 31 and up.

As of right now, Glamours look like the same system type Materia and Dyes fall under; once you unlock it, you can use it whenever.

In other words: Get a class to 50 and unlock Glamours, and you can use it on any class, even pre-50.

After all, once you unlock materia melding or dying, you can use it even on a class that is below the "unlock level"

That armor sample looks as if it has a red version of the texture used in the Snow Villiar's leather bandanna from the Lightning Returns set, on that male miqo. I wonder if they will ever allow glamouring of event gear like that.
