Kind of silly that it requires level 50 to unlock. I know most of the playerbase is 50 and it doesn't take long to level to 50 even if you aren't, but this should be something in line with the aesthetician level unlock IMO. Just another thing lower level chars don't have access to.

I am happy about the two piece body armor able to be glamoured though. I rarely have show helmet on to begin with so not a big deal if this doesn't display. Although I'm sure with Myth being uncapped I'll be out of my DL armor in no time now...

Still disappointed about Odin's armor. I hope the dev team would reconsider redesigning the armor to either be 2 or 4 pieces and redistributing the currency cost. (3 for one, 2 for another in the case of 2, 1 1 1 2 for feet/hands/legs/body)

I don't have a problem with this, because I think it forces levelling players to get familiar with the different appearances of different lower level armor. Sort of forcing the prospective buyer to try everything out before making any decisions.

One issue that has been incredibly silent is what is required for the Glamour crystals. The way Yoshi is dodging the issue, it sounds like Glamour crystals are going to be either ridiculously expensive with GIL or only obtainable via Tomestones. Requiring level 50 is a pretty big hint to this effect.

He already threw us that particular bone (just not on this site):

Yoshida: In terms of fees for players, players should not be paying a high fee to use the Glamour System. As to how it works, there is a new item called the Glamour Prism which is a crystal that can be used to change your appearance by mirroring the look of your item. These crystals will come in different types to accommodate different gear level ranges, so if you want to assume the appearance of an item that is iLvl 30, you would need the Glamour Prism that corresponded to items of iLvl 30 to iLvl 40. While that is not the exact range, there will be several ranges of iLVLs that each Glamour Prism will work on, similar to how Grade 1 Carbonized Matter, and Grade 2 Carbonized Matter work.

Crafters factor into this as they are the only ones who can make these crystals, and they will bring the Glamour Prisms to market. Players will go to the marketplace, buy the crystal they need and mirror the appearance of their desired gear onto their character. So if you’re a crafter, you can make your own Glamour Prisms. The recipes for the crystals aren’t designed to be expensive, so I imagine it won’t be a limiting factor. Once you copy the appearance of gear that you like onto the crystal, that crystal is now bound and cannot be traded or sold, so the only commodity in the Glamour system are the Glamour Prisms that are blank made by crafters. So as a crafter, you will want to bring to market the Glamour Prisms that correspond to the coolest looking gear.

It should be easy to access for everyone and shouldn’t cost too much, so please look forward to the new feature.

Asking a bone from the guy that crashed the market economies of most of the servers, and has generally excluded crafters from being a part of endgame content beyond supplying "Intro Level" equipment? The guy who thought 200M guild houses were a good idea?

I'd say the odds are between 'cold day in hell' and 'Yoshi sex tape scandal'

All you complaining about the Odin suit are in for a surprise when they do make glamour able. You will see how many are actually out there and no longer be your special snowflake. Same problem as before glamour.

Honestly, I have no problem with the level 50 requirement either. Some things should be reserved as a special deal for once you hit 50, just like beginning the quest to obtain your relic weapon.

And really, it makes sense to me based on the glamour rules. Basically, you take a higher level piece of gear and give it the physical appearance of something lower, not vice versa. In addition, doesn't make too much sense to be concerned with the gil/tomes/crafting skills (or whatever it may be) needed to make these prisms if you're only level 20, wanting your level 19 gear to look like level 5 gear.

And all the PvP gear (with one or two pieces as exceptions) were in the game since at least 2.0...I know one of the bows is a resinned Shadow Bow, the Battlemage and Vanaya sets are the Casters, and the Calvalry and Acolyte sets also were resinned for PvP

They can with an alternate class. They just need one at 50 to unlock the ability to glamour.
