    Why yes, as a matter of fact I did. For roughly 5 years from NA launch.

    What you seemed to be describing in your OP is something akin to BCNM/KSNM fights. Which isn't anything different than the way the Trials (like the Primal fights) work in XIV. You enter a small instanced area and do a boss fight, and then if you win you get a chance at loot (only in XIV you actually will get a real piece of gear every time in stead of trash loot 90% of the time) for your efforts in winning.

    People didn't do BCNM/KSNM fights because of the challenge, they did them to beat them and possibly make a lot of money if a high selling drop dropped. Otherwise, if you got nothing useful other than low selling items it ended up being practically a waste of time without any reward.

    And Dynamis? Don't even get me started on that. Relic Armors were about the only thing you were going to obtain and even then you'd be at it for months just hoping to get a drop. Relics were neigh impossible and exceedingly Rare. I don't think I even knew of anyone on the server I played (That wasn't Japanese) that even was close to getting one by the time I quit (in 5 years time).

    Either way, what you've suggested really isn't that great. I am much more pleased with the idea that in the future perhaps, as was done with Ultima Weapon, where mainstay FF bosses from Dungeons are given their own single boss fight made harder than the original content and actually give out neat gear. Even if it was only vanity gear, I'd be down for that. Like having a seperate Siren HM/EX, Diabolos HM/EX and whatever future bosses that might be considered lesser primals. An Odin and Behemoth Trial would be nice (or KB, as in a harder version of KB but built for a group of 8 players).

    I'd much rather see the effort expended on cool bosses. Not FATE bosses like Cancer, or Bubbling Burny, etc. I like that those bosses are FATE bosses, it works for them considering they are merely the equivalent of NMs in XI.
