Thread: AF2 will not actually be in 2.2

Let me just point something thing out;

Mythology Tomestones are getting crafting items similar to Philosophy.
Gerolts stuff is presumably crafted.
We're getting a new Tomestone category, which so far has no purpose if you assume Mythology items are used to make Gerolts gear.

My assumption;

Gerolts gear is iLv90 and can be melded, making it slight better than current iLv90, just like the iLv70 gear was slightly better than Dorklight.
Allagan Tomestones of Newness can be traded for a yet unknown gear set which will be equal to Coil Turn 6~9 gear. That gear may or may not be AF2.

They've already confirmed we're getting Zodiac weapons this update, but they've yet to show us any. Would be pretty logical to get AF2 alongside it.

The new tomestone in Japanese: アラガントームストーン：戦記

A wild guess of the English name would be Allagan Tomestones of Chronicles (戦記 => history of war, war chronicles)

Not that I don't want AF2 to come in this coming update, I still don't think it is and the images revealed don't really support the contrary. I mean, looking at

Even forgiving the differences in gender you'd expect at least some similarities like what we have with the current AF (only difference is men get an undershirt... bastards). Now, not saying the potential for wild variation isn't there, but given the record present in existing gear, I don't see that as being the case.

For a moment I thought we would be getting new accessories but after closer examination, it looks like they're simply changing the current hero accessories to blue.


(Notice the item Lv hasn't changed and his stats are the same. )


Or it could just be debug gear.

Proof that this gear is/isn't AF2? Or do you strictly want something called "AF2" to drop from dynamis?

Well, the proof is all over the thread. People have posted pictures of the Gerolt gear and pictures of Yoshida holding completed concept art of AF2 and neither look the same. How could you have missed it?
