What happened to all the old guild masters?

Yeah. I've finished the MRD story nearly on 2 characters now. I really liked the 1.0 version of the story... I was disappointed it was shifted. It made sense to make the shift, but the ship was an interesting guild location. Another reason they mention is that the Aschilla has returned to active service and has to frequently raid Garlean ships.

Well, for what it is worth... The ship remains there, and in fact they HAVE been fully absorbed as privateers by Limsa. A small quest chain early in the game has you moving a few goods for them around town, all courier like, and you learn that they frequently perform... 'trade' with garlean ships.

Actually, the armorer, while still the same, is the Miqote outside, where she's always been. The Smith master was Mimidoa (sp).

I kind've think Mimidoa was BOTH ARM & BSM Guildmaster in v1. Their story was the same, that I know of, and I didn't get any BSM quests after I finished all the ARM ones in v1. I can't really say much for the rest, I don't remember doing much for the guilds in v1...

Yeah. That's right. The old Elezen captain is still there. Also, the Sanguine Sirens now run a bar, but the captain is depressed about it. But what happened to the Roegadyn you got your quests from and the one who was the disgraced guy where you were a 2 man crew, and the Megaboss for the Aschilla crew? The main thing about that line was you were never allowed to actually join, though in the Main Limsa story they were ironically all fighting over who got to keep you. The stories actually contradicted.

If I remember rightly, Geva is still around, yet she's no longer the actual Guildmistress - someone else has taken her place. Having said that, looking at my 1.0 screenshots, Geva was never actually directly stated as being 'Guildmistress', but just as a 'master' leatherworker. Given the other Guilds actually had their Guildmasters shown or referred to though in that storyline, it's likely she really was the LWR Guildmistress.

Incorrect. Geva has been guildmaster of the Fen-yll leatherworkers for at least fifteen years. The difference was that in 1.0 she was engaged through the main scenario, where as in 2.0 she is engaged through the class quests. She was still guildmaster the whole time.

It is the person assigned to you as your "mentor" in v1.0 that seems to have faded into irrevelancy.

Oh, O-App-Pesi is featured in the White Mage quests, it appears that he is busier than ever with his duty as a padjal that does not involves the Stillglade Fane.

I don't recall him being in the WHM quests, but I do recall seeing O-App-Pepsi during the Odin questline (started from Urianger, I believe it's called Primal Fear?)

The fisher guild didn't really get rid of the old guildmaster so much as he's even more useless than he was in 1.0. Sisipu is definitely Acting Guildmaster while Wawalago is off making drunken bets and ogling miqo'te.

Sisipu probably found the hidden ledger filled with Star-spangled subligar purchases and lost it, relegating Wawalago to... whatever it is he does.

Culinarian: I don't remember who the actual guildmaster is (probably the same guy) but the quest giver was the blonde "chick" that's simply an un-named NPC in the guild hall. You also see "her" in the cutscene where you see Merlwyb's speech during the diplomat quests around lv15. (if you want to know more about this story look for the youtube vids)

Leatherworker: I'm sure Catapult is correct in that Geva is the guildmaster.

In 1.0 you received quests from a Lalafell (the name escapes me) who is quite harsh towards you (much like Geva is) and is involved in a story about a group of miscreants wanting you to create counterfeit items for them to sell. You later learn about how she lost her friend (significant other?) to some Garlean technology that they didn't understand.

Carpenter: I don't think it was Beatin, but it was another Elezen. He had some kind of affliction that he needed to hide his face with a mask (it was never shown) and had to take some kind of medicine to keep it under control. Much like Beatin, he was also tasked with watching over the orphaned kids in Gridania, and the last Carpenter quest in 1.0 involved you taking them outside of town near a lake so they could see what it was like outside of town.

Ah, I see now. I was too lazy to clarify that with my ARR screenshots, so I just stupidly relied on my less-than-stellar memory, and hence failed.

I haven't levelled CPR either so a lot of that was guesswork on my part as well. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm pretty sure I've heard the old MRD guildmaster, Hyllfyr, mentioned quite a few times. I'm still bummed about the unexplained disappearance of Rostensthal. Especially since it was evident that he was indeed Sthalmann originally, the roegadyn that saves you in the opening Limsa scene. So many abandoned characters and storylines. A shame really.
