I felt that the game was in that state before Yoshida came into the scene in the first place. He really hasn't made the game any worse or any better imo.
I wont argue that there is some narrow minded views on these boards and some holier than than thou attitudes but SE should be grateful that players even care enough to complain. Everyone has their ideal world vision of how everything will turn out and not everyone will be happy with how it will actually turn out.
I was and am of the view that the product Yoshida got was not even in the state you described where he's faced with something not assembled but even a step behind that, where the pieces needing assembly haven't even been made.
I hope 1.18 is the first big piece, but that's my small "o" optimism there.
Edit: Alaltus raises an interesting point about complaining. Complaining shows that somewhere inside you care. Constructive or otherwise it shows enough interest in the product to speak up about it. When silence is the order of the day it'll be time to pack it in.

I agree. The people that post here are on another level though. "You hate my idea/suggestion but don't come up with one of your own so you are TROLLING" and all that. People on these boards just can't take any sort of criticism or debate. Don't complain about the endless flaws in this game or you'll get jumped by nutcases. The market wards threads have taught me that very well.I wont argue that there is some narrow minded views on these boards and some holier than than thou attitudes but SE should be grateful that players even care enough to complain. Giving some COMPLETE feedback on how to change what you're complaining about helps more than just saying 'this is bad!'.... and shows you care a lot more.I was and am of the view that the product Yoshida got was not even in the state you described where he's faced with something not assembled but even a step behind that, where the pieces needing assembly haven't even been made.

Yea, you have people that cant handle or refuse to debate or compromise with their suggestions and complaints, then you have people that jump at you and bash your suggestion or complaint without debate or offering compromise.I agree. The bad is on both sides.
It sucks, all you can do is try to promote your ideas as best you can and hope people rally to it. Theres very little to be done that can change it short of developing internet mind control, i'll get back to you when i'm done developing it....I agree. Hey, no fair! You can't slander a lament, alienate the confederacy, demand conformity & get measurable progress all in the same transaction, that's cheating!I have already done this, but I'll repeat once more for you.
Step 1: People complain about things they want to see in the game, for example a Job System or Dungeons.
Step 2: It is announced that Job System and Dungeons will be implemented.
Step 3: People complain that the same Job System and Dungeons they ASKED for are complete shit when they still haven't experienced it.
That is NOT fair to the producers. I never said ALL complaints are invalid. You are the pathogen who seems to only comprehend black and white, plain and simple.
I cant say I know what your talking about. Everyone in the game seem pretty happy , in fact we're all thrilled, maybe we can be a tad bit over the top in our hopes and fears but that's just humanity. I'm pretty sure the producers aren't as sensitive as you seem think they are. If you really wanted to make a difference you would employ subtle sarcasm in exaggerations of the magical powers possessed by the unbeatable development team in honor of their extreme accomplishments in the art and science of being completely awesome... I don't know what you could possibly expect out of us though. There is no way around this mess, i tried to tell you...
pathos: "what befalls one,"
-gen: "thing that produces or causes,"
rest assured, buzz is still buzz... negativity is nothing more than FREE PRESS

WiiSam you have good intentions, we see that, but unfortunately you're not going to change anything.
