Uh, why would you use GC accessories instead of accessories you can actually spiritbond...? It is inefficient and pointless to use any spiritbonding equipment.

I agree with Luminary tools, in 1.0 they were awesome and very worthy of the work required to get the achivements, but now, at least the gathering ones are no better than the final class quest rewards, making them more a "I might see it eventually" item rather than an "OMG I must have that" item.
And this is why saying that the achievments are part of the core game is dumb.
Achievments don't add challenge to the game any more than plaing the game in snowman outfit does. It's superficial content at best.

Yes it surperficial content
And at the same time it is superficial content that people like and do. It has challanges, offers you no rewards, pretty much. Yet you will see a lot of people who hit platinum in various games on PSN.
People, who are not you or like you, enjoy those. I particularly like the titles, and I like knowing i've completed the quest and exploration-related achievements even if it gives me nothing.
Yeah, that's actually the point - You were supposed to "eventually" get it while you did your normal crafting, not something you grind for. They only exist now to keep those who did obtain it happy otherwise you can be guaranteed they would have vanished. That's why the class quest ones are the exact same in the ways that matter. Maybe they'll update it, but otherwise achievement items aren't supposed to be good.I agree with Luminary tools, in 1.0 they were awesome and very worthy of the work required to get the achivements, but now, at least the gathering ones are no better than the final class quest rewards, making them more a "I might see it eventually" item rather than an "OMG I must have that" item.
Or else it creates another 'grind' that people fear so much.

How can you craft 3.000 lv 41-50 recipes without grinding for it? For each DoH class?
Like in 1.0, people grinded for it who wanted it while other people just crafted electrum tools and overmelded it, because also during 1.0 luminary tools were only 2nd best.

Considering I did 2,110 just for making money as culinarian..pretty much those who crafted for a profit would have done it eventually rather than going out their way to do it as if they had to do it. (since normally grinding means doing something you don't like doing.)
Hell most SB gear rested in 35-50+ range as well.
I've been crafting and selling two star recipes non-stop for the past 4 months (2.0 character.) I went from 6mil to 50mil from the beginning of 2.1 and randomly got the Weaver Luminary a few weeks ago. When I checked my progress I was 70% complete on five more Luminaries; though Alchemy and Culinarian were very far behind. I would consider myself a very hardcore crafter but it's still possible to get them naturally when you're aiming for profit. Though it would've taken me years to finish Alchemy at my current rate so I did end up grinding the rest of the Luminaries in the end.

First off it's nice to see people actually read the dev post..... (Sarcasm)
Secondly lets talk about these so called achievement items, more so in the crafting area. Craft 2000 items of level 31-40. Now if you actually look at it, quick synth 2000 items while you go AFK. Really a lot of hard work there. Now if it was craft 2 star items 2000 times to get Luminary item, then you have a right to complain because that would be challenging. Right now it's just time and dedication, not skill and challenge.

My only legit problem with achievement rewards is that the titles aren't really in open display as much as I would like them to be. That's really it.
