I wont' work IMHO. People who enjoy doing the DPS will use it as a DPS (there is even a PLD/WAR as DPS in the DPS forum) and when people need a real tank, they'll get a real tank.
Most people don't want to be creative or try to work around things, they want the fastest and most reliable way to win.
Just look at the Duty Finder asking for i75 for CT
