I always thought capped content was a nice change of pace in XI, and it would receive a welcomed return from me in XIV. Subligar runs anyone? Those were always a blast. Hell, any of the capped CoP content was loads of fun. You aren't forced to do it, so why not make it more challenging for ANYONE who decides to take part? I just don't see the point in making it less challenging and rewarding, when that is one of the main focuses of the new team.

actually as quite a few stated that if you had only r50's you should not be allowed to enter. so once again it is one of the general terms of cap limit that can either be taken as if you are above x rank you cannot do which is a true cap or a scale in which you are dropped down to the level.
if you go back through that other thread the vast majority only wanted to be able to go into the dungeons. i do not care if i go in it as a r50 or a scaled down r30. all i stated in the other thread was that i wanted to be able to assist friends and ls mates. the people that were discussing the same thing as me were constantly trashed. you were not one of them. as i recall you stated what you meant and as far as your take on the matter i agree with.
i just hate the idea someone asks in ls chat "hey guys i don't have a full party can someone come help me get this gear" and me have to tell them no i can't because i am too high of a rank. i am one that gives away tons of gil, gear, and time in this game to help others because that is what i enjoy most if making friends and enjoying things together. this is the one thing that would absolutely kill the gaming experience if that was ever taken away.

Even if they don't cap it, I'll definitely be self-policing on the issue. I find zero fun in being carried through content. Hopefully I'll be running these with mostly linkshell peoples, but the moment I'm in a pug that grabs a R50 to run us through a R25 dungeon will be the same moment that I drop the group.
capped dungeons are failed unfriendly machanics that do more harm then good. Either they add a level sync system letting people ware their gear with reduces almost meaningless stats, or force people to lug around low level gear. There is a game you must be 25 + to enter the way I read it.
Honestly this poll is dumb, just play the game the way YOU want stop trying to control the playerbase with stupidity.
They should give the person who opened the raid the option to set certain kinds of setting such as capped or uncapped, solo or multiplayer, etc...
Then after finishing with the settings the person can post his raid settings on a board system so people can see who's wants to play what kind of raid and join in which makes partying up a little more easier.
With this freedom on customization options for raids I think everyone or at least most people will be happy.
Maybe I've just had a long day, but I have no idea what you're trying to say here. Are you in favor of my idea? Hate it?its funny how many are against the caps but everyone mentions being excluded and ive seen and posted a lot of posts explaining that they are NOT excluded but only scaled down in their lvl temporarily. I prefer helping friends or other people if i have a challenge and fun the 60 min it takes instead of rushing through, im bored since no challenge and the new people or the lower people i help are bored since they just see someone AOE the crap out of the mobs and the instance is done and everyone is... thats it?
Basically, I see a lot of back and forth in this thread about level caps -- even some confusion about level caps vs level sync.
I say, why not have the best of both worlds, and make everyone happy?
People worried about level 50's steamrolling level 30 dungeons? Or twinking lowbies?
Make the monsters and difficulty scale to the highest level player who enters the dungeon.
People worried about their level 50's missing out on experiencing the level 30 dungeon?
Keep it uncapped and see #1.
People worried about level sync system forcing them to buy lowbie gear or nullifying the stats on their current gear?
Don't sync the players, sync the dungeon. See #1.
We already know that the dungeons are going to be hard for a full sized group of equal (to the dungeon) level players. So if the dungeon's monsters scaled to the highest level player, and someone brought along a level 50 into the level 30, it's not going to be possible for the 50 to solo it. And, again, a level 30 dungeon should only ever drop level ~30 loot.

I think OP should change the explanation of 'capped dungeons' if this should be a fair poll.
I think a lot ppl think with level cap you cant enter the dungeon when you level above this cap. That's not meant by this.
Let's say the lvl 25 dungeon is 'capped' at 30 this means you can enter this dungeon from lvl 25 - lv 50!
Your level just gets scaled down to 30 if your level is 31 - 50!
I know OP you dont want the dungeons to be capped, but please make this a fair poll!
