I'd only accept this idea if it was an optional $90 cap unlock every time an expansion came out. That way you actually pay your sub before you blow all the content at once.

Guess you aren't very familiar with the people behind this game.
Also, how the hell is that not pay 2 win? I cap my tomes in 3-4 hours. if I pay 4.99 I can cap my ilvl? lol
Terrible idea that was implemented in DCUO and killed the game for me. They offer these things call replay badges to rerun lockout dungeons for the best gear in the game. Everyone was spending like a years worth of sub fee on top of their sub fee in order to get their top of the line loot. It was successful money grab for sure but that type of business practice is sleazy.

Yes...yes it is Pay to Win.
Edit: I quit any and all MMOs that become P2W. I'm not alone in doing that either. I'll spend extra money on vanity because I want too. I will NOT pay extra money because I feel pressured to keep up with my peers gear-wise. P2W prays upon peoples competitiveness to drain their pockets.

This will never
ever
ever
happen
ever
.
1 - Yes, it's PTW.
2 - WoW isn't the only game that did the mixed cash shop/subscription model. EQ2 did it for a while before going F2P. Sadly they made it so there was NO good appearance gear that didn't come from the cash shop (including top end raid loot looking like garbage) from that point out, and people didn't approve. (surprise!)
3 - If all you care about is quantity of content to screw around in, get together 53 of your closest friends and go run Everquest 1 raid content from vanilla onward without using any quested or universally dropped gear added later. That'll keep you busy for a decade.
I'd pay for it. It's not fair that I can only do so much because Sally Sue decided to pop out 4 kids, work, and have a husband.
I'd rather they just completely remove the lockouts and create worthwhile content that can't be completed in one night.
