    If they used it like they did during 1.0 then our 2.16 would be 2.1b (and 2.15 would be 2.1a)

    That would make sense too since the 3rd sequence is in a different format so it wouldn't need a separator to make sense.

    I prefer version in a format where you don't need to know the format to make sense of it.
