    Yes, absolutely this! All the adventurer guilds have plates and cups on their tables.

    I'd also really love to see more "flavor" decorations. Maybe some storage crates and barrels for if/when they also give us kitchen-ish furnishing. (Look the Bismark's a fair ride away from our house. Where's the stove, man?) There's a lot of object models in the game already that would be great to have for placement in homes.

    I have seen it mentioned several times and I think it would be the best feature SE could add to the fc house. Would be the ability to have a fc vendor/retainer who would sell goods at your house and or manage extra section of fc inventory. The reason for this is my company and I know others have a bar set up in there house for rp purposes. However to have a player stand there the whole time and sell drinks to and food to anyone who comes in is not fun. Since players can already hire retainers it should not be unreasonable for a free company to hire one or two as well.

    Real housing benefits

    Hi guys - I think that after spending that insane amounts of gil on the plot / house / furniture we should get some real game benefits.

    Not talking about e-peen in-house and "look-we've-got-this-cool-unique-ornament" benefits.

    I'm talking about stuff like:
    - when you build a house and you log-off in it - after you get back you get a special buff (HP/MP/dps/healing up)
    - the buff depends on total "quality" of the equipment you can put inside the house (like achievement system)
    - when you synth in-house you get the boost to control/quality
    - you can boost your spells affinity if you put specified equipment (elements - fire/water/earth/wind - like in ff11) - thus increasing your spell damage
    - using a bathtub /shower / fountain gives exp (1exp per tick)
    - you can create special "melding stations" for your guild members to meld materia

    What do you think?

    I think any benefits tied to an FC should require FCs to work as a group to earn. I also really don't want our furniture choices to be reduced to BiS.

    A few suggestions after spending a solid week almost entirely in the FC's new house:
    • Large houses need 250 or 300 items, 200 is too few.
    • Make partitions solid so players can't run through them by pushing.
    • Add two more partition types: one with a doorway and one half-width.
    • Add a jukebox or music box that lets you customize the music track played in your house for both day and night.
    • Give beds an interaction like the inn bed that lets you log out more naturally.
    • Give wardrobes the same function as the armoire in the inn.
    • Add new items to replicate the functions of other furniture pieces, such as a book to view cutscenes, a summoning bell, and a market board.
    • Allow some furniture to be placed on other furniture. A moogle doll on the couch, for example.
    • Add more options for flooring and ceiling fans.

    Now for a few less realistic suggestions. I don't hold out much hope for these, but thanks for reading!
    • Allow items to be grouped so you can move them around as a set without having to reposition everything individually.
    • Some items would really benefit from being scalable, like partitions or rugs. It would be awesome to fill any size gap with a single partition and always have it look right.
    • Add exits for the balcony and the roof, and allow furniture to be placed on both. Beer garden on the roof!

    I realize some of my suggestions are redundant with what others have posted, but I wanted to also show my support for those ideas.

    I'll have to say no to this after some personal trolling experience...I had a FC enclose their entrance with walls before the patch. Causing everyone to enter to be stuck in a small cubicle. Even the entrance was blocked off. Yes, I can teleport out but I didn't want to waste gil and run all the way back. Luckily they released me after a few long minutes.

    Anyway, other ideas that I personally want to see.
    • Displays that suit each craft. (example: bsm - barrels with weapons, arm - mannequins,...)
    • Furniture related to the craft (ex: forge, grindstone,...)

    Those are all overpowered and some in extremely ridiculous ways. No way they'll allow you to idle in a bathtub and come back to a character at level 50. Also tying a buff to furniture like FFXI will kinda suck. They weren't all that good to begin with and a group buff shouldn't be tied to what your house looks like.

    Make the sorting of the furniture list better.
    Decorating as a PS3 user is kinda hellish, with the list not sorting the furniture properly. Either make the sorting by floor, or make it so that there are more tabs, like a tab for only chairs, one for partitions and one for cupboards/cabinets.
