Perhaps it means currently there's no need for the auto-logout feature. And nothing more.

Late comment, but after 30 minutes of inactivity it will ask you if you want to be logged out and give 20 seconds to respond.
If you never seen this then obviously you deserved to be logged out. No excuse to this other than the fact that you were AFK more than 30 minutes and wasting server space.

Was a major downer when I couldn't find a good way to stay in game after the FC I'm a part of spent an inordinate amount of money on a house, so this is pretty great news for me. Certainly, that is a rather minor complaint, but even on the more populated server of Excalibur, server congestion is not exactly a tremendous deal, so autologout was pretty pointless to begin with. Especially since there were so many ways to circumvent it.

to bad they are getting rid of it and it won't pop up at all anymore and i can take up alllllll the server space i want for however long i please :PLate comment, but after 30 minutes of inactivity it will ask you if you want to be logged out and give 20 seconds to respond.

So what happens when 2.2 hits and then PS4 versions goes live and we are back to real queue times? Will they have to add this back in? Pretty sure with 2.2 we are going to see a lot of player Resub and when PS4 launches we will see a lot of new players. True you can get around the lockout by talking to a NPC or using Market Boards, But I doubt a lot of players even know that.
Just funny people wanted it, Now they don't, And later they might want it again. Don't see why anyone needs to stay logged in 24/7. Don't really care if they take it out long as it doesn't effect my playtime, I haven't had to Queue since they added it (except for the crazy -15,376 player thing). So that means either people were getting kicked or lots of people quit. Cause before they added it took a long time to get on. So I hope if SE needs to add the feature back into the game they can do it in a "Hotfix"
But it might not be so bad now that Legacy can transfer to Non-Legacy.

thing is about the auto logout is different people want it and different people don't want it so like in 2.2 when it is taken out a thread about addding a auto lock out will be made by the people who want the auto log out and the people who don't want it will defend it sorta like the people who orginally wanted it made a thread and people who didn't defended not having it. it will be an infinite loop that will prolly never end at this rate xD

While I understand you want to stay in game, although I must admit, I can't fathom it other than being lazy. I wish the servers were set up like GW2 and that there was an overflow area you could send people that "time out" in the case of FFXIV, that would be pretty nice to send players to a mock town where they can sit in a type of time out limbo until they want to join the game again with people actually playing.

It will be the same thing again when they take it out and Queue times pop back up.
This is what I don't understand, People are against the feature but they know how to bypass it. If you know how to bypass it, why do you care if its stays in the game? I guess SE should have made it so it really works. Also what is the real reason we don't really have long Queue times anymore since they added it? Is it because the feature actually works (some don't know how to bypass it) or because FFXIV Subs have dropped off? So When they remove it and we have returning players for 2.2 and new players for PS4 launch and Queue times are horrible Another thread will pop back up asking to add it back.
