Yes, I am for it as long as there is an incentive to do it under cap. Be it HQ version of gears, novelty items, achievement (though this one is weak and offers no replay value).

Yeah, they should've only released high-ranked Dungeons so everyone who plays today would be happy.
What about the beginners? They have to wait for reaching a high rank before doing those dungeons?
You've reached R50 on every class? Rise another character. It's your own responsibility to have reached the cap with every class afterall =)
Indeed. I would support a level cap if one was ever going to be implemented in the future for dungeons because of this very issue.
But from a completely new player's position (we'll probably be seeing many of these when the PS3 version comes out eventually) in the game, they won't have instant access to high level friends. As has been pointed out in this thread, it takes very little time to rank up battle classes in this game and a person could reach rank 30 within a couple of days. In that time, that particular new player would be extremely lucky to know anyone well enough to come and do anything for them if they asked. They would either spend time looking for other people around their level or already have a group of players in their level range that they roll with.
In any case, I think the dev team had newer players in mind when they made these lower level dungeons. It won't be 100% of players taking the easy way since for some of them, they don't have that option anyway.
this isnt 11 though
yes cop had a cap, yes cop was great BUT
it was also a long drawn out story driven set of missions, with a rising cap as you went along it
that IS NOT what these dungeons are, they are just that dungeons
the main issue here isnt that people want a cap on the dungeons, its that the 30 dungeon isnt meant for endgame
people want endgame only content, they think everything else is a waste, so if it isnt endgame content, lets find a way to make it so it feels like endgame content
and heaven forbid anyone have a way to get the gear in them easier then anyone else, thats just unfair

people dont care about those who arent yet in the game or leveled to 50Yeah, they should've only released high-ranked Dungeons so everyone who plays today would be happy.

they only care about having rank 50 content now, and if it isnt, they want it to be forced to be a challenge for rank 50s also

According to this thread, this is the right way to do things:
- Rank 10, 1* levequests should be balanced for R50s, since a R50 can help a R10 friend do the leve for the reward.
- Wharf Rats should be balanced for R50s, since a R50 can kill them to farm bone chips for their R1 friend.
OR
- You cannot do a R10 levequest on a R50 job.
- You cannot attack a wharf rat on a R50 job.
I don't disagree with what you're looking for, but the solution that you're proposing. Why is level cap superior to level sync?
Also, it was mostly your comparison to "breastfeeding at 15 years old" that made you look ridiculous.

Interim solutions are for pansies.
I don't want this to be another "one run and done" patch. That is the point of this thread and those of us that want meaningful content. I try to get as much fun and enjoyment as I can as it stands, but its tough when fewer and fewer people come on as they cap out their desirable jobs. Getting the friends and LS together for one or two raid nights a week is what this game needs. As it is heading now, its more like one raid every patch night, then wait for 2 months.
they could also do what Champions online does, they have certain monsters whose level is basically just hard, an no matter what level you are they con to each player as same level, or say 10 levels higher. Of course its still a bit easier due to having way more skills, a complete build, and the fact that you usually get somewhat stronger as you level. Its also helps with event/world NMs somewhat. Its one advanatge of the heavy level difference dependent formulas we have.
Anyhow i doubt they will do it, because apparently they are ok with the steam roll startegy, but whatevs
