The issue I see is if they make the new jobs slap DRK and RDM on already existing Darklight gear or obtaining the jobs through the same content instead of gaining it from a new land or new content that allows it to be unlocked.

Having the jobs serve a purpose and making sense, making them a part of the team being effective. I already noticed that Final Fantasy XI has updates flying out back to back which is Odd since when I was playing they took forever.

I also wonder if the money we are subscribing to Final Fantasy 14 is going towards updating Final Fantasy XI the whole flag ship thing.

Hard is fine it's just when you have to rely on 7 other players heavily it suxs. It makes it so players only play in their inner circle and they bring no one in that they think is questionable. No other mmo that I've played does this. That type of hard is not fun to me.

I think re-tooling fights I.E. Titan - Titan HM -Titan EX gives some the feeling of lack of content. 200 modes of titan is still titan. I was more excited for pharos and king mog than extremes as far as content is concerned. If we had 10 different primals with varying degrees of difficulty I'd personally feel more entertained. Not that I'm bored as I only play an average of 3 days a week.

    1. Game is very casual-unfriendly: brayflox, titan, stone vigil and garuda are horrible and should not be put into story quests (SE could have done it like with sch WP quest).
    2. Story should not require lv50 dungeons: i would like to finish watching the story, but have no desire to head-bash the wall of 50+ dungeons with continuous wipes.
    3. There is nothing worthy to grind - no levels, no materials/items. I just run through the same locations every day for tribe dailies and never visit any other locations - my open world content ends on it.
    4. There are no meaningful guilds. Common chat for chatterboxes is not a guild, people don't have any worthy benefits for being in one. As a result i see lots of 5-10 online guilds who will never get at least 200 stable online (like in other mmos with much less population). World feels small and very lone.
    5. No trade and craft - just another absent feature. I don't visit any cities to check the market - only teleport between sylph and amal'ja maps for dailies, world feels smaller.
    6. Low level dungeon runs feels frustrating because i cannot improve there - level sync means i will always be weak and run them as fast as a new player. I keep doing them for 4.5k gil rewards, but i think i am at my limit.
    7. Combat is arcade type - i have to move my char to avoid scripted skills, like in 1980s console games. I do not play any games but rpg and rts, this arcade combat issue makes me feel like i am playing a nintendo 198x game, and is the biggest reason to stop playing after the sub time ends. I remember the only combat i ever had that is not arcade - whm lv50 quest, i thought i have to heal that npc through incoming damage and actually started trying to put top healing (but found out it was scripted too). I would like to improve my char like in other rpg games, but so far dungeons have a huge gap for rpg mistakes and a tiny gap for arcade mistakes. I would like combats to be a big rpg check first (using cooldowns in time or wipe, etc) and small arcade check 2nd (i play with 3-4k ping being in europe, how i am supposed to dodge 1-shot skills?).
    8. No space to improve my character over the basic - everyone are in the same i90 gear: no variations, no builds, one character = one fixed role, which is boring and short-sighted.

I think solving these issues would make average players to stay longer and consider re-subbing for new content.

I consider myself in the middle like yourself purely because, while I am quite experienced with MMOs, I don't get time (nor do I wish to have the time) to truly dedicate myself to being a hardcore player - and I find this conflicting with my perspective. Titan really isn't that bad; stand near the edges when he jumps in the air (but not actually on the red ring), don't stand in the AoEs, and kill his heart. Everything beyond that can be considered trivial, or at least something that would have been learned and reinforced in previous dungeons. But to each their own - my experience does not speak for yours.

I said it before, instead of making new stuff, we get Lazy Hard mode dungeons and extreme fights, then a couple of new things, people argue about it saying its cool, all they did was gut out the same dungeon tossed in new enemies and cranked up the difficulty.

I haven't even tried the extremes and I am level i85, because I feel they are pointless, same monster added abilities for a few mounts or some earrings, I am sure they will find a way to force you to do it adding it to story mode.

leviathan fight seems like eye candy but once its done I wonder what else we gonna wait another 3-6 months for new content.

A lot of your complaints seems like you just want to hate the game.

1,2. Whoa, if you hated those storyline dungeons in FFXIV, I wonder what you would have said about the CoP missions in FFXI. If such content shouldn't be a part of the main storyline, then what should? The fights can be hard the first time you go through them, but they're not the wall that you're trying to make them out to be.
    3. Not really sure what you consider to be worthy of a grind. But if your complaint is the lack of reasons to travel around the overworld, do Treasure Hunting, that takes you everywhere.
    4. It is true that being in an FC only gives you limited benefits with company actions, but I don't see guilds being small as a problem.
    5. A lot of people complain about this, but the truth is that you can make a lot of money through crafting and gathering. It's just people only think crafting makes money if you're able to sell a single item for hundreds of thousands of gil. If anything the complaint should be that there is no Best in Slot item that comes from crafting.
    6. I completely disagree that high level players should be allowed to blast through level 15 dungeons using their level 50 characters. They're already easy as they are using level synched characters.
    7. Won't comment on this since it's your personal preferences.
    8. No variations and no builds is true since there are no real options for cross-class abilities. But one character = one fixed role is a blatant lie.

    Love this attitude:

HM dungeons are lazy. Extreme fights are lazy too (but I didn't do them!). Leviathan is finally something new but it sucks already too!

I don't know whether it's because we need new content, or the way current content is designed, but I'm personally getting a bit fed up with this game. This may not be the problem for many, but I guess I'd like to vent.

Every night for the past few weeks, even on weekends, I get on to try and do some Coil or Primal Extremes. Now I'm having a lot of trouble finding a group during my time zone, so I just use the party finder. I usually end up spending hours just to get a party together and only for the run to fail multiple times despite putting a high iLvl requirement and asking for the members to have experience with the fight. So for the past few weeks, I've barely been able to get anything done - even when I was sick for a couple of days or during the weekends playing during North American prime time, I still have the same issues.

    I'm not talking about Titan Extreme or T4/T5 either, this is Garuda or T1/2! Can you believe that... High iLvl people supposedly with experience are having trouble with those fights. -_-;

Materia lore is stupid and encourages bad gameplay. Hence you see idiots running around in crappy gear in endgame dungeons (especially CT) being a detriment to their entire group.

I like the idea of materia, but I believe the way you currently get it is not good for the game.
