    Only problem with "for fun", is that SE isn't doing anything to make progression after 2.2 different from current progression... I mean... We're getting a new tier of Tomestones which we'll presumably obtain in the same way (running the new dungeons, Coil) and used to obtain the same top tier gear, and then we have more Coil which, OK, that will be fun at first, but then it's right back to the same problem current Coil suffers from, and suffered from very quickly after launch at that.

    I'm not against this progression model, I'm against them putting zero progression into it... Where is the progression when we're doing the same thing we were doing at launch?

    You are right but it works in very specific conditions. That is with a group that know what they do, no first timer, FC members, etc.. etc... those specific conditions are not available to everybody. For instance, my group always takes 1h -1h30 to do through T1-T2. Just because of little hickups here and there. I'm far from SR coil. so those 450 / 90 minutes are a long shot for me and maybe a lot of ppl.

    3 months and ilvl 90? how is that struggling? Sounds pretty casual tbh. In all fairness, FF is a Monday game in terms of progression. Loot ct, cap myth, go coil, log off. I hate grinding but I even sometimes wish this game had more grind....

    What do you want? endgame BIS to forever remain the same because you capped your gear >8D? what would be the point of new content? even if the upgrades are superficial its a way to breath new life into a game. ( the extra damage we get will just cancel the higher def of future mobs, but leads us to that feeling of "progression" )

    Release new content -->release new gear with content = players have incentive to run new content ( because for some reason "fun" wont cut it...)

    I feel current content should cap ilvl at 90 though, similar to how level sync works.

    I do think we needed better crafting abilities.. I mean, I love crafting in pretty much every game, but I love dungeoning as well... So it always ends up that my crafting isnt needed EVER, because the dungeon loot is better haha.

    Why should crafting ( which requires no skill ) be better than gear attained through learning and completing in-game content? oO

    Maybe crafted gear should at least be better than what tomes can buy though...but should be completely untradeable. As it stands, all gil is for atm is buying houses or EX runs ( shame on people who buy runs... ) but I think if tradable crafted gear could be on par or beat dungeon-attained gear then we would have far worse RMT issues aswell as making FF somewhat pay2win, if illegally through the purchase of gil...

    Even tome gear arguably should beat crafted gear because the people running dungeons constantly for tomes are keeping DF alive, which in a sense is the heart, life and soul of FF.

    This will happen until we reach the Climax of the Levelcap, then it is horizontal Progression and BiS. So basically the same Model they used for XI. But for XIV i hope they go faster to 99 and not wait several Years.

    Oh no! My brand new cellphone just suffered a loss in value because the manufacturer came out with a newer more advanced model 3 months after my initial purchase!
    Now everyone can get my same cellphone for cheaper, they've even put it out on sale! Darn it I feel so slighted! Other people will buy the newer model and it's even better than mine! The new model is faster, has better connectivity, and a cool new design. I can't believe I bought the older model before it went on-sale and was still the best thing on the block. Gosh!

    Drat! This is stupid I'm going to cancel my phone contract and stop talking to my friends because of it.

    I'm expecting them to lower the amount of myth they give, to be honest. I figured the Myth reward they gave was only because you could only do them once a week.

    Doesn't matter to me, though, still looking forward to farming it.
