I also wouldn't doubt that other former summons will come out as primals as well. Another guess I have is Quetzacoatl. I think he will be involved with the Ixal since he is a Bird and the Ixal characters tend to have Aztec type names like Gozol Itzcan, Nezul Cattlan, Yotoli Hueloc, Kozol Nomotl, etc. & their origin is in a place called Xelphatol. When I see those words, it just reminds me of the Aztecs.
A nice theory, but as far as is known, beastmen only worship a single Primal, and the Ixal Primal is already well known and in the game, namely, Garuda.

Although having said that, your idea about Quetzalcoatl might open up other possibilities, given the Garuda story makes mention of her fighting the evil 'lord of snakes', and Quetzalcoatl in Aztec myth of course is the feathered serpent. *Ears perk and rubs her chin* Bugger, now I'll be thinking of this idea for days!

Maybe Quetzalcoatl will show when they add Xelphatol to the explorable map with new beast worshippers or something.
