Thank you, Radaghast, for answering that one for me.

Aka "people over 30 with jobs." Since I'm only 12, I don't really fit that demographic, but I understand not having a lot of play time due to my job as an astronaut vampire hunter.

In my experience as a casual player, timed events were fantastic. Trying to organize people for something as nebulous as sky or sea was a pain when everyone had different schedules and priorities, like kids or work or being a rockstar. But something like Nyzul or Limbus or Salvage it was simply, "This is when it happens, this is how long it's going to go, either you can spare that time or you can't." I could carve out two hours for Salvage, no problem.

But if you were like, "I like taking my time, let's do Nyzul for 4 hours" then I wouldn't roll with you. I couldn't roll with you.

"Casual" players can't spend 40 hours a week playing MMOs, but they can set aside an hour or two for an event.

If your life is so crazy busy that you can't block off and concentrate for one hour, then you probably shouldn't subscribe to an MMO in the first place.

    That's just my two space-cents.

This is probably the best reason for a time limit I've seen anyone give. I really hate it when they take their smoke breaks in the middle of whatever we're doing.

If the full 60 minutes is utilized, then fine. My biggest complaint is the fact you need a specific number of people to enter. I'm one of those people who likes to build die hard defensive characters and send them up against the most ridiculous mobs and challenges I can find. The key factor is that I like to do this by myself. It's not that I hate playing in groups, because I do prefer groups (when I have the time) over playing solo. I just like a good challenge where I don't have to rely on anyone else but myself every now and again.

I loved soloing instances with my paladin in WoW. I usually attempt them at the same level, maybe a level or two higher than the level you're supposed to attempt them. I really hope they at least remove this dumb requirement.

Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.

Just invite random people from your LS so you can get it in, like raids in WoW you need at least 2 people but they don't need to be there. They can just leave your party once your in.

I didn't read the whole posts, but myself, I don't really care about time limit. Its ok in my opinion.

    I do care ... and I fear about the 'Cool-Down' timer (>.<)

I hope it is something like 24hrs

I havn't read the whole thread, since it is at over 200 posts already but I agree with the OP. A time limit is just silly. SE needs to understand that PEOPLE are playing this game, and when it comes to people expect the unexpected. I can't imagine a worse scenario than one of the group members having a minor emergency that forces them to step away for 10-15 minutes, which could be the difference between victory or defeat. Even worse if there is a long cool-down period after each dungeon attempt, failures included.

What I CAN agree with is an optional timer for bonus rewards, but even then I am still against it. Why add an unneeded layer of "difficulty", forcing players to rush through the dungeons, eyes on the timer the whole time, never stopping to socialize or make battle strategies? I understand that these first few dungeons are probably designed to be finished in well under an hour but to add a forced time limit is something I can not endorse. From the screenshots that were posted on the Lodestone, the dungeons look to be very beautifully designed and should be enjoyed thoroughly.

Please...if that happened they probably wouldn't even be able to re-enter the party while still in the instance. haha

24 hours means a constant schedule creep, every day you start a little later until you finally have to skip a day to push it back to the original time. 20 hours would be better, as it means you can only do it once a day but you get some flexibility in when you start.

unless they have a global cooldown like they do with leves. That I would prefer. Make it JP midnight or something.

Time limits on individual bosses are good. I personally enjoyed the Promivion Dungeons in FFXI where you could take your time and kill the enemies throughout the dungeon then had the final BCNM Boss at the end which was timed, and instanced. I just dont like the idea of having to hurry through a dungeon to finish on time, or zerg killing as many mobs as fast as possible to get as many time extensions as I can. I want to take my time and explore each and every inch of the dungeon as I make my way through it and take screen shots here and there with my LS and enjoy the journey. I would have preferred for timed dungeons to be endgame specific.
