    Wasn't that the reason they gave when the monsters in 1.0 suddenly got huge (lore-wise, at least)? Aetheric imbalance?

    Dalamud and the aether disruption caused monsters to grow in size (Gigantoads for example) and also caused them to rampage (the monsters invading Ul'dah).

    Yeah, that's what I thought. And oh yes, I remember well the Ul'dah incursion. That's where I blacked out (ie: got d/c'ed) when Dalamud popped.
