    6-months and my account is still down!!?????

    6-months of no answer.. Let's see if maybe ANYONE can help? I had my account hacked 6-months ago! and filled out all the correct forms and i still get no help to as why i have not been able to get my account back. I have called 30+ times to support and all i get is the run around or you are still investigating ? Or better yet my account has been escalated! Sadly i have also been told i was one of the 5000 people who at that time had their accounts hacked..

    I see NO reason why i have to wait 6-months for whoever is overseeing this to give me my gil back. I paid the full 6-month and i can not even play? I have played this game from the start of FFXIV beta and get treated like im sure many do it seems.. Like dirt and just another number. I WANT MY ACCOUNT BACK! AND A REFUND! AND A NAME CHANGE! Tell me what i can do to help you or someone to get this done. I have never played a game with so much customer support problems... This is just stupid crazy...


    Really! Would be nice if i get a response!

    hate to point this out... I got hacked in XI years ago and the waiting with no answers drove me nuts too.

    But, this is not where you need to go for the answers you seek. This is for user to user support, not contacting SE. Guidelines posted here:

    In fact, as this issue will require the sharing of sensitive account data and such, you really need to be addressing SE directly somehow not trying to go through the forums.

    Unfortunately, you are restricted to the contact methods detailed at the support portal when you submit a ticket for your account being compromised--chat, email, or phone support (not a free 800 number either which sucks).

    Wish we could help you here... really do. Myself and many of us here have been there and got the tacky t-shirts back in 2005/2006... and pray we never have to go through that rat race again.

    Best of luck, hope they can get you back in game soon.

    Thanks Raist for the post. I just wanted to post something in hopes of some admin or someone might be able to point me in the right direction or someone on the account side... Post was not meant to troll but to also maybe inform others of this and SE fails to inform gamers / paid customers. Many thanks for the space.

    Keep hoping, this is not a real tech support forum. If it were then someone would have at least acknowledged you by now. I don't know why they even have a forum for tech support.

    Hmm, weird. You can reset your password if you have game codes, e-mail adress and especially, scan of original owner's ID card. I did the same time ago for my 2nd account, got my password back in 30min. Are you the original owner?

    If she was hacked by an RMT and her account used to spam...her character name could be on a lot of peoples blacklist. Seems a good precaution to get a name change.

    As far as SE actually helping you.....I lost faith in them months ago.

    It's because this is not a support line to SE... never was intended to be. Go and read the guidelines posted at the sticky I referenced in my earlier post.

    This is a user to user support forum. For providing feedback directly to SE, you need to use the appropriate bug report or feedback sections listed further down, or use the support portal to submit an appropriate ticket. In the case of the OP, the situation cannot and will not be handled through the forums because it will require sensitive information to be exchanged and thus calls for a more one-on-one interaction that can only be handled through contact methods provided when you submit a ticket at the portal.

    So, in this case... this forum has performed as intended. Players have provided suggestions to remedy the situation--unfortunately the OP's preferred resolution requires a different mode of contact than what can be achieved on the forums and must go through the portal or via direct phone support.
