Never played FFXI so I can't comment on that, but let's not compare RNG of WKC to FFXIV please. I played WKC for a long time, and yes it took me awhile to get a Fire Dragon Heart+. The difference here is, I could farm the dungeon in WKC umpteen times on end until I got it. For 6 months, players only had one chance per week at any drops in coil. Much easier to get frustrated in this type of situation. So technically it's not on the level of a 0.25% chance of me popping that heart+ in WKC, but if you weight the FFXIV RNG with the fact that it is a finite resource, it's easily comparable. It didn't take me 1 month to get a Fire Dragon Heart+.

Have been static coiling with my FC for about 2-3 months now, and I have seen 1 single BRD item drop. My BRD is already ilvl87, and I didn't need what dropped so I let an FC-mate grab it for its Alt. Gearing up my DRG alt because that's all we see as drops. My brother (mains a DRG) went from i72 to i84 in 2 weeks of coil and spending no myth. And since then I have even gotten 2 pieces of DRG gear as well.

You could say that difference if it weren't for the fact that they will remove the lock from coil.. But even without locks people make topics such as CT threads. The WKC comparison is to show that it could be FAR worse (and my numbingly boring in my opinion)

For me I never seen a + and I played that game for hours on in until I just couldn't run anymore farm hunts due to both mass boredom/bad RNG/ Psn getting hacked/Games network getting canned. Also finding people who were willing to farm proved rather difficult for me because most wanted to face roll big red for the 300th time.

I get the OP but as stated above it could be so so so much worse and her friends situation is looking up especially with next month right around the corner.
