Coil striking and maiming accessories have different stats distribution, hence the reason most monk prefer to get maiming accessories rather than the striking ones due to the stats. If I pug coil I usually will mention that I would like to have the maiming accessories if it's ok but well it's not a static so you will always get some other class that roll against you all the time, that's how a lost a maiming accessories to a bard in one my run. If you run with static makes sure to let them know that you need that accessories but you can only greed it so get them to pass.
coil gonna be unlock come 2.2 anyway, so you can farm as much as you want
Would be nice if they made better gear in general.
Lol...Turn 4, Choker of Striking. All DRG need that.
The Striking Ring is only a *must* if you need accuracy; the Slaying Ring is better if you don't
maiming choker is a turn 2 drop. striking is only useful if your lacking and accuracy, and the myth option gives more crit.
Crit? What? DET is the stat to go for. Not Crit. Crit and SS are secondary, and while Crit is more valued than SS, its not by much (overall, it really doesn't matter too much as long as you stack DET first and foremost after meeting the Acc cap, and aren't hyper-obsessed with min/maxing)
Striking Choker is DET/SS, Maiming and Myth are Crit/Acc (Myth is less Acc/more Crit).
For the rings, Maiming and Striking are DET/Acc (Maiming more DET/less Acc), Myth is DET/SS, Vortex is Crit/Acc.
Earrings; Striking is Crit/SS, Maiming is DET/Acc, Myth is Acc/SS Tremor is Crit/DET.
Bracelets are: Striking is SS/Crit, Maiming is DET/Crit, Inferno is Crit/Acc and Myth is DET/Acc.
EDIT: Unless you need to use another to meet Acc reqs before you can get the better ones (or because its i90 and you have i70), you should aim to get the Striking Choker, Maiming, Striking and Myth Rings, Tremor and Maiming Earrings, and Maiming and Myth Bracelets.
Why the extras? Accuracy. If you don't need Acc, go with the no-Acc accessory. If you do need Acc, fill in as appropriate

For DRG at i90, CHR > DTR > SSPD. CHR is only slightly above DTR, but both are a head above SSPD. People often mistake DTR is more valuable because each point is greater, but it also enjoys a third fewer points on any item to account for this. DTR and CHR also both have diminishing relative returns, so getting either in whatever quantity is fine. True maximization is largely academic. Skill speed is the least valuable due to having no effect on autoattacks, DoTs, or any interval over which a jump is used (long animation cancels out value of skill speed entirely). Some small amount is not entirely wasted because it helps close the gap in your rotation's timing introduced by jumps, but it's still just weaker than the alternative because it doesn't affect autoattacks -- still a glaring omission, if you ask me, and one which makes it rubbish compared to spell speed.
Marginally related, MNK gets increasing returns on skill speed from GL stacks (additive with bonus) and reduced returns from critical hit rate due to autocrits and crit bonuses (Internal Release, also appears that Raptor form at least increases crit rate by 5% naturally -- need to test further). SSPD vs. CHR is similarly academic there, since both are crippled stats compared to DTR. If they ever fix skill speed affecting autoattacks, then SSPD will be a pretty nice choice, but for now, MNKs all just dump their points into DTR.

Yeah, pretty goddamn stupid that Need for each melee type is locked between Jobs. Healers, casters and tanks share accessories, so what the hell?
