time levels adding difficulty while also not setting up stupid tactics is not sad, i mean in ffxi a rdm can beat anything given 3 hours and something to run in circles around. long as the time limit makes sense it will add to the njoyment of the content.

Before people got butthurt over level caps it was existent in almost all CoP areas, but time limits existed in almost every event the game has to offer.
Also, no. Most of FFXI's quests didn't have cutscenes on the scale of mission cutscenes, only a select few did. However they did have a type of cutscene that just threw instanced NPCs into the areas to further the story, but it wasn't exactly a cutscene in terms of what you'd get with missions, or like:

All these people QQing about time limits, seriously what did you all expect it is a ff mmo, with the FFXI team basically making it now. Nearly all of FFXI's endgame was time limited, even HNMs you had 60min time limit. This should of been expected by everyone. All in all if time limited content is game breaking for you, you should probably quit the game. Because atm it is a staple of the FF mmo.
Time limits enforce skillfull gameplay and group work. If your party is crap or unskilled chances are you will fail horribly at the "I am gona call it instance... thing is not a raid with 4-8 people".
I am hoping this is like Salvage where there is multiple things you can do. That way you have to pick and choose what you are doing, the better the group the more you can accomplish.
Others have posted about how if this is trully hard everyone will get owned due to Leve being loltastic in difficulty.... Honestly I hope that is the case. I hope these slaughter everyone who has no idea how to incap and control hate, honestly it is what the game needs.

It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. The fact is that best content requires time limits to function properly. If other MMO companies can't grasp that, their loss. Makes it easier for SE.

Other MMO companies cant grasp something yet they are all more successfull. All I am saying is that if I want difficutly, which I do, I want it to come in the form of everyone having to work together to play smarter, not harder. I would love to see Crowd Control, or having to separate mobs when you fight them and other tactics that makes fighting trash difficult. When it comes time to kill a boss, would be nice to have a boss that is sectional, or a boss that spawns minions, or someone you need to move from spot to spot because standing in the same spot for the entire fight could spell dissaster. Those are just some random thoughts. What I am hoping I dont see is a mindless zerg to get time increasses all the way to the end where you fight a boss that is still unique to the game, but a tank and spank just the same."Can't have time limits on the first dungeon!"

Time constraints means you'll push harder to be more efficient which means working together better. If you have 60 minutes you will not screw around or go leeroy your way to victory.
those things arent mutally exclusive, fighting how you should(good involved tacctics and strategies) should theoretically be more time effecient, either by killing faster, or reducing chance of death, which leads to weakness, which slows down everything.Other MMO companies cant grasp something yet they are all more successfull. You are thinking time limit like just throw waves of weak monsters that you kill fast while being mentally afk, they havent made content like that before, but then again looking at behest, and leves in a full group, i can see why you may have reasons to fear that.
Difference is this is the first of the patches that are supposed to make fighting callenging and rewarding, the old 10 level limit and zerg is best strategy they implemented in November will hopefully be departing here.
