Why do people hate on tanky healers?

Let's assume for a second that this yumi yumi character isn't a massive troll and isn't just giving you guys a good trolling.

If you're running a tanky white mage build and having success in turn 1 / 2 / hm primals, good for you. You're overgeared for that fight. We were killing those guys when we were fresh 50s, and I killed my first hm titan as WHM at i63.

You see, you're being successful as a tank whm in those fights because those fights are pretty damn easy. It really doesn't take much to heal / solo heal those fights, so it really doesn't matter how much hp you have. What matters right now are t5 / ex primals. Base your ideas off the hardest content, not the content that came out in September.'

I've beaten T5 on my scholar, and Solo heal EX primals with my tank build WHM. I handicap myself because this game is that easy. Explain that.

Why would I need to explain something that most people capable of clearing content understand already? Let's be clear that if your whm is geared enough to be tanky, you most likely have over 400 mind. That's plenty to heal the content regardless of how much HP you have. The fewer healers you have, the faster the fight goes, which is less healing throughout.

Solo healing garuda ex is easier than 2 healing it. Less people take damage, this allows for less mind.
Solo healing titan ex isn't hard because it's a pattern. Most of the difficulty in the fight comes from having a smart team, not whether or not you have heal throughput.
Solo healing ifrit ex is just dumb and I won't even humor it.

There's nothing to explain really. This is a game made for the ps3, it's never going to be hard for a PC player.

I'm a ps3 player, also you just confirmed my point. Even with a tank build, you can still heal fine. So if you want to be an idiot and make a stupid tank build then power to you.

What's your point then? The reason we get new gear is to make the fights easier / quicker, not harder and longer. You don't have to be tanky to live through any of the fights except for having 4k hp on twintania. When you say things like "I stack hp on my WHM" its like saying you stack dexterity on your dragoon. It just makes us think you're stupid and we're going to have to work harder to complete the fight to carry you.

I couldn't agree more Why make a fight long and annoying when you can geared properly and do it right you can be done fast.

My point is that if you can still complete your run, why not use something unviable, just for the fun of it? Also let me remind you that there IS a double standard for dps vs healers. Healers can afford to lose some of their main stat, it doesn't gimp them that much. That's the beauty of being a healer; it's a SKILL DEPENDANT class. My WHM has 6k hp, and it's absurd, that's why i use it. I accept that it's stupid though, that's why i use it only when i'm messing around

yet you and Pakuda don't get it there are pugs out there like the idiots I dealt with last night that go into a fight blind who do not do there research so your healing tank method will fail.
