What would be really nice is if SE would let us upgrade our houses. For example

it be easy to make the inside look bigger that is really is on the outside.
I bought a small house and my FC becomes bigger I can add rooms on buying them
I could buy more wall space slots.
I could pretty much buy anything, that will make the inside bigger.

I don't know if anyone has come up with this idea, but I would absolutely love to see some arcade machines in the houses....so we could have our own in game games kind of like back in san andreas GTA......bit of something to pass the time when sat in the house chilling waiting for a dungeon queue or for that coil group to get sorted. We could turn our downstairs of our medium house into our gaming area within our gaming waiting area

We need Free Company banners, they have Grand company ones we can get, but we need Free company ones, since it is Free company housing, or if not that make it fair and give us free company barding for our grand company chocobos.
It would be nice to have the bulletin board to hang on the wall to leave messages on like we were promised, the ability to hang things on crafted walls, give us a way to increase the amount of items we can place, or maybe split it between floor items and wall items, our house is nicely furnished, but the walls seem empty on 2 of the floors.

I've skimmed so apologies if these things have already been addressed.

My main concern is that the more event or prestige furniture added like the Primal or dungeon drops, the more homogenized houses will become. You can already play a sort of "House Bingo" by seeing just how many Ifrit lamps, Garuda couches and ADS tables your neighborhood has, bonus points if they clash horribly with everything else in the house. Spoilers: they always do.

Let us pick up the boss/dungeon items without destroying them, otherwise houses will become absolutely cluttered in just a few updates.

My secondary concern is related to the item limit, which is definitely too low, but more about furniture itself. I keep thinking about it and I don't know why there's a hard number cap on furniture instead of a point system, where larger items take up more of your space quota. It's pretty silly that placing a few items on top of your table will take up four times as much room as the table itself.

But moreover, implement that system and allow crafters to HQ furniture - where the High Quality version takes up less "space" than its NQ variant. Since the devs have implied that they want furniture and housing to essentially be endgame for crafters, it makes no sense that 90% of a crafters skills are useless when making furniture. You just pop Steady Hand and use whatever progress skill you feel like until it's done.

Also if you're going to add NPCs to houses you definitely have to make small and medium houses bigger, there's not a lot of space to spare.

I agree, the large house item limit is far too low in proportion with it's size. If a small house is able to get an extended basement, then large houses should have an upgrade as well in all fairness. The amount of Free Company effort to afford the large house being unable to place all the furniture we need is unfair in the design of FC housing. In addition to all this, there was a housing trailer from Square Enix where the balcony had a glowing instance symbol for entree. How come large house balcony doors are inaccessible? At 0:56 in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr11_sh5BYw It shows the balcony door with that aforementioned door being accessible. Is this a lie?

Once again, chiming in with how severely disspointed i am with the item limit of 150 for a medium house. We have reached the cap and our house doesn't feel finished. If we get any more items there is obviously no room to display them. Frustrating me the most are the bare partitions put up as walls that, even if the item cap was raised, would still be bare. Once you get past putting up the basic furniture there isn't a lot of decorating you can do due the space restrictions. Awkward corners and bare walls.....

If you can put stuff on top of tables that you place, why can't you put stuff on walls that you place????

At least a medium house looks cozy at 150 items, our large house at 200 looks like we're in the process of being evicted.

oh my, please raise the furniture limit from 200 to like 400. has anyone started a petition for this yet? i hit the 200 cap and the house feels so empty. i had to spread stuff out so terribly just to try to take up more space. then i wasnt even able to put small stuff up like lights and plants, sigh.
